Bick you Posted this 3 Years ago. I Live in Lake Worth Texas. lol And I have been there to the castle. Great spot to chill when you can enter it. Never new it was Haunted. Anyways. Just thought I would comment. Peace.
When I was a young teenager in 1955, a friend of mine's family lived in the guest house on the castle property. Their name was Norton. I spent many a night sleeping in and around the castle. There was a stable behind the castle. We spent a lot of time out there just goofing off like an teen. The castle itself was in a state of disrepair, still having the damage from a fire. That didn't keep us from climbing all over it. Met my first true love there. We married 65 years later.
I lived in the Castel in the early 1970s my father was a major night club owner and use to have ZZ Top come and play. He also ran poker games in the tower and their was a very large star of David in the granite room as we are part Jewish so my father was very proud of it. His name was Harold Helm I'm a Jr.
In the 80s we bordered our horses there. I played on those steps as a child. It used to be so beautiful. I heard at one point they were gonna turn it into a restaurant.
I used to play there as a child in the 80s. My best friends mom rented the guest house from the owner, Richard. I know a lot about the place from spending a lot of my childhood there. In the first level in the parlorwas a four point star in the center of the room from the tile work.
John, Michele, Christopher, and Richard were my friend. John and Michele and my parents vacationed together. Castle burned after they bought the mansion
I've been there a few times I used to live close to it and it really is haunted you can't go to the castle itself but you can go to the dock and whatnot and theel last time I was there I was about 10yrds from the shore and I actually heard her cry
I have drove through there so many times by myself and with someone, and nothing has never happened to me in that area but a beautiful place to look and admire. I have pictures of it.
I was driving by that castle at night. This was 10yrs ago. My car lost power. I was so scared! Once I rolled to the end of the street, my car was just fine. I never drove by there at night again!
Hmmm, your math doesn't work. The castle was built in 1860 and Lake Worth was built in 1914. So the wife waited for a VERY long wedding night to go swimming. I grew up about 2-3 miles from the castle and have lived here all my life and have never heard that it was supposed to be haunted.
A Hunted tale is always intriguing 🧐. Thanks for the leg work - only wish the castle would be revamped and shown as it was in the glory days. They could really throw an awesome & scary Halloween Bash during the Holidays 😀
That would be cool! I was saying to someone else it would be cool if they restored it and just offered like weekly tours to go see the inside and what it use to look like. Was very cool to see none the less. Thanks Shawn!
That's really interesting. So tragic about the untimely deaths... The lovely property is so isolated, even today. The hauntings... WOW. Thank you for sharing with us, Nick. 👏 🌊👏
Yes I agree!! It would be so cool to tour the inside. I know they’re fixing it up somewhat but that’s been going on for years. Pretty cool to see in person though glad you enjoyed!
The groom had cheated on his wife right before the wedding his fiancee that had drowned had actually found out about his affair and drowned herself in the lake and she actually haunts the roads near the lake I've seen her a few times very skin crawling and chilling experiences there's also been alot of demonic activity for anyone that drives by their at night and you'd wake up with burns or scratches it's a very beautiful castle but with a very dark past
I am from Fort Worth tx and It was said that the day they were going to get married the bride to be found out that her love was having an affair that is why she killed herself
This area wasn't even a lake in the 1800's, so for her to have drown on the shore line there would have been impossible. Lake Worth wasn't created until the 1920's, when it was damned. I'm willing to bet this house wasn't even there in the 1800's.
I'm reading it wasn't built until 1914. I think it might have been a marshy area thus the herons. I think it's much older than we think. Also there is ancient stuff in Palo Pinto Mineral Wells state park and Rockwall Texas to name a few.
@@JustCallMeLiberty can you post a link? Hard for me to believe they built a house there before the lake was there, perfectly facing the water. But, I could be wrong.

Not sure how someone could drown in Lake Worth in the 1860s. Lake Worth was not built until 1914.

I think it’s just legends and folk lore. Makes for a cool story though. Thanks for watching!
Same. I've never heard that the Castle is haunted.
I have for 7 years now wanted to buy this place and restore it to its original glory.
Meetoo!♡
Lake Worth wasn't built until 1914 so the first story isn't true. I for one think the castle is much older than we know.
That’s like the saying - don’t believe everything you read online. Lol. Thanks for watching!
Cool. My great grandma Hazel K. Grogan was born 1914 & raised me, born 1979!
North Ft. Worth. Just down from the lake, off Jacksboro hwy.
i live right by it
Nice! Thx for watching 😎🤘
There is also a Geocache near there.

@@TravelswithNick We certainly did, Nick. thank you🌞👏🤠
What a crazy history! It would be awesome if they repaired it & opened it up to the public- it would be a hit during Halloween! 👍
Yes I agree!! It would be so cool to tour the inside. I know they’re fixing it up somewhat but that’s been going on for years. Pretty cool to see in person though glad you enjoyed!
So cool!!! Of course you know I love all that kind of history. That castle is gorgeous. I ‘d love to see the inside. Great job as always👍❤️❤️❤️

That’s interesting. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for sharing that info! I love that type of stuff and stories 👻
been there a hundred times. Nothing's happened. Don't lie
Oh bulls%!t I have lived in this area my whole life. 60 years and NONE of this happens around the castle.
Ok..OK... my old stomping grounds. Did my families art survive the fire?
Nice location. Enjoyed the history
Thank you! Glad y’all enjoyed it. It was really a neat place to see 😎👍
It would be fascinating to see the place restored and compare to vintage pics.
I agree! It would also be really cool if it was restored and they’d let you tour the inside! 😎👍👍
They need to bring investigators in there probably a big human trafficking hub underground etc

Hey Layla remember me I’m from Fort Worth also ! It’s spooky in there from the outside and it being next to the lake 😣

Lake Worth was created in 1914… someone in the 1800s couldn’t have drowned in the lake.
It’s just a story of the tale
@@TravelswithNick yet, you present it as fact.
