    When I was a young teenager in 1955, a friend of mine's family lived in the guest house on the castle property. Their name was Norton. I spent many a night sleeping in and around the castle. There was a stable behind the castle. We spent a lot of time out there just goofing off like an teen. The castle itself was in a state of disrepair, still having the damage from a fire. That didn't keep us from climbing all over it. Met my first true love there. We married 65 years later.

      I lived in the Castel in the early 1970s my father was a major night club owner and use to have ZZ Top come and play. He also ran poker games in the tower and their was a very large star of David in the granite room as we are part Jewish so my father was very proud of it. His name was Harold Helm I'm a Jr.

    Not sure how someone could drown in Lake Worth in the 1860s. Lake Worth was not built until 1914.

    In the 80s we bordered our horses there. I played on those steps as a child. It used to be so beautiful. I heard at one point they were gonna turn it into a restaurant.

    I used to play there as a child in the 80s. My best friends mom rented the guest house from the owner, Richard. I know a lot about the place from spending a lot of my childhood there. In the first level in the parlorwas a four point star in the center of the room from the tile work.

      John and Michele and my parents vacationed together. Castle burned after they bought the mansion

    I've been there a few times I used to live close to it and it really is haunted you can't go to the castle itself but you can go to the dock and whatnot and theel last time I was there I was about 10yrds from the shore and I actually heard her cry

    I was driving by that castle at night. This was 10yrs ago. My car lost power. I was so scared! Once I rolled to the end of the street, my car was just fine. I never drove by there at night again!

    Hmmm, your math doesn't work. The castle was built in 1860 and Lake Worth was built in 1914. So the wife waited for a VERY long wedding night to go swimming. I grew up about 2-3 miles from the castle and have lived here all my life and have never heard that it was supposed to be haunted.

    Lake Worth wasn't built until 1914 so the first story isn't true. I for one think the castle is much older than we know.

    A Hunted tale is always intriguing 🧐. Thanks for the leg work - only wish the castle would be revamped and shown as it was in the glory days. They could really throw an awesome & scary Halloween Bash during the Holidays 😀

    The groom had cheated on his wife right before the wedding his fiancee that had drowned had actually found out about his affair and drowned herself in the lake and she actually haunts the roads near the lake I've seen her a few times very skin crawling and chilling experiences there's also been alot of demonic activity for anyone that drives by their at night and you'd wake up with burns or scratches it's a very beautiful castle but with a very dark past

    This area wasn't even a lake in the 1800's, so for her to have drown on the shore line there would have been impossible. Lake Worth wasn't created until the 1920's, when it was damned. I'm willing to bet this house wasn't even there in the 1800's.

    • @JustCallMeLiberty
      @JustCallMeLiberty 3 роки тому

      I'm reading it wasn't built until 1914. I think it might have been a marshy area thus the herons. I think it's much older than we think. Also there is ancient stuff in Palo Pinto Mineral Wells state park and Rockwall Texas to name a few.

    • @propbraker
      @propbraker 3 роки тому

      @@JustCallMeLiberty can you post a link? Hard for me to believe they built a house there before the lake was there, perfectly facing the water. But, I could be wrong.

    Lake Worth was created in 1914… someone in the 1800s couldn’t have drowned in the lake.
