I live in the town where they robbed the bank and that bank was also in the original movie. It’s still on the corner of the town square. Our town has an annual Bonnie and Clyde reenactment of the bank robbery and get away.

I was the first maintenance worker who was assigned to alcatraz Island for the national park service. 1994-2018 and been volunteering on the island since retirement. 90 years ago! Same year that Pretty Boy Floyd, Dillinger+ Baby Face Nelson got shot too. And D-Day was only 10 years later, honored yesterday, 6/6/24.

I’ve been on a tornado binge lately so now I can’t hear the name Joplin without my gut wrenching. Edit: I live in Gladewater, TX where Bonnie’s brother Hubert “Buster” had lived. This is also where Clyde, Henry Methvin and Joe Palmer had kidnapped Wade McNabb for him to be never seen again. Gladewater is also where J.A. Nichols of Wood County, TX was arrested before Bonnie and Clyde were killed, which ultimately tipped them off and that’s when they fled to Louisiana to only return back to Texas post-mortem.

It pisses me off on how we are losing so much of our historical landmarks. Like it our not it’s our history, if we don’t learn from it we will repeat it

Great Video! Awesome storytelling. I am heading down that way to film for my channel soon. And like you I love the history weather it is dark or not. I have always loved reading and researching about gangsters. I started My channel so I could be motivated to go to these historical places and visit. Just started my channel so I am still learning lol. But great video, I have watched almost every video on the hideout. Now I just need to figure out my own take on it. But I can't wait to visit it for myself.
