This did NOT work last time... but some of you gave me some tips (thank you) so we're trying it again and seeing if watercolor actually works in this journal??

The galaxies look amazing. My favorites are the one with pink and the one with yellow... they are so unique. I hope you're enjoying your new home. It can be overwhelming at the beginning with all the unpacking, but as time passes, it is fun to see how your home becomes yours (with decorations and furnitures) little by little. Hugs

Do you know what could help the paper or it could be a total failure and if so forget what I said? I am wondering if you can use Iso rubbing alcohol. I have used it with Inktense pencils and it works pretty well. I would say water does a better job, but the alcohol will dry really quickly and can save the paper from being soaked and help prevent warping. But I guess that depends how wet you need it.
I think the first page is my fav combo. I love those colours. :)
I am using a pretty terrible paper in a book myself, and I just realised I could use clear gesso and my markers would work with it and not bleed through. It is so nice when you realise you can actually use a favourite supply with something, when you didn't think you could before.
Alcohol markers will go through your paper by the way (unless you do what I did). They go through ALL paper, with the exception of the new Ohuhu bleedproof paper.
I have never heard of using alcohol with watercolour, I might have to look into that one! Also not heard of using gesso with markers, that’s a cool one. Might have to do a bit of research and experimenting 🥰 thank you ❤️
