- Fellow Legends, welcome! Today we dive into another amazing JaidenAnimations video. This time we talk about Vocaloid. For a nerd like me going through high school around 2010, I can vouch that Vocaloid was absolutely built different. I'm more partial to Megurine Luka. But, don't ever underestimate the power of Hatsune Miku. I absolutely recommend that you go ahead and check out JaidenAnimations as well as the original video to show some support for the source material!

My first Miku experience was Freshmen year of high school and it was the Levan Polka that lead me to World is Mine, and it snowballed from there
I can't help but feel that at this rate if kip ever gets a gamer sups flavor he's gonna have to reference fish in some way
...
...
Dammit...
@@KipReactsRainbow Dingus
:P
Lmao @@KipReacts
Swedish fish flavored?
I had an ethics presentation based on That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, and lets say it went really well! Even got my professor interested in it!
I did an English essay on Kirby
I remember i got stuck talking about how we hate that danm butterfly
Better watch your back out in nature 🦋
0:50 I had this exact conversation with a cousin and I think a big factor is nostalgia. I never really listened to music when I was younger, either. The only ones I listen to frequently nowadays are the ones my best friend of 20 years showed me: The Misfits, Guttermouth, Suicidal Tendencies, Primus, Eminem(when we smoked weed, mostly), etc.
I did my project on insane clown posse, they didn’t allow yu-gi-oh or magic the gathering in the library so we played in the hallway
I remember my first experience with Vocaloid being Akidearest's vocaloid lists. And I was in complete love. And now I'm into other vocal synth programs, my latest fixation being Chipspeech (Chipspeech is the voices for the FAITH trilogy too)
Editing to add, my instant recognition vocaloid song is Aishite. A popular vocaloid animator (recently known for making their own song, Mesmerizer) has been animating the genres of Miku, and I heard literally a fucking second of Aishite and it was like neuron activation.
I told my family I like the Baltimore Ravens just because I liked Ravens as a kid and them and my friends looked at me like I was a mad man
I feel this.
I walk into the room with such outdated information and it's like walking on a hand grenade.
Funny how I watch this the same day I found out there was a Miku MtG Secret Lair… that sold out in 3 hours. I don’t even have the chance to shout “Shut up and take my money!” anymore.
you need to see the future if you want to participate in anything Miku
Rolling girl is such a good song. My vocaloid (and Utau for that matter, Teto my beloved) experience has very much been a cycle of : fall into the rabit hole in highschool ==> sporadically listen to it ==> the obssession strikes back. I think one my favorite one has to be "Evil food eater Conchita" (also known as "Beelzebub party" the wiki says) from the Evilious chronicles series.
19:06 I find it super cute the Luka glowstick appeared RIGHT ABOVE Kip's head XD

You can't escape Kip. You cannot escape the
Dancer in the Dark brother?
I had that on loop for months back then.
You get it.
Mine was Galaxias, man
High school is was crazy
Back in high school, everyone in my class had to do a presentation for World History, and most of my class went with events from American history, but my weeb ass said screw that, I'm gonna talk about Oda Nobunagas use of matchlock rifles at the Battle of Nagashino.
I love Miku’s design. I absolutely can’t bring myself to appreciating vocaloids. I like my musicians to be real. But I’ll never shit on anyone else’s happiness, and if this is what they like, that’s valid.
I like your observation about the vocaloid/vtuber connection. For the longest time, I thought they were the same thing, until I found AmaLee’s One Piece Red English covers and realized there’s a person behind the anime waifu. Now I’m down the rabbit hole and there’s no turning back.
Hope to see you react to Marine and Kobo “III”!
I did a presentation on the rebel/new republic leadership. Both civil and military structure. I want to see sabaton concert so bad
I really want to go to one of their concerts too.
I remember Miku back when she first debuted, it was amazing watching feminists scream.
Kip really is becoming a spirit animal for me lol
Back when Vocaloid 1st came out, I immediately thought of Sharon Apple from MacrossPlus, and if you know, you know, so I opted out. However, i love One ok Rock, so I get what she was saying about Japanese concerts.
I think my first exposure to vocaloid waa back in 2015-ish and the song was either servant of evil, no logic or a neru song.
For me, the kind of community Jaiden is talking about would have to be the foxhole (Babymetal).
25:45 Bro, Dragonforce still tours. I was just at a concert a few months ago and they even had an insanely good and goofy metal band playing too. Forget their name unfortunately but they were all dressed up and it was awesome.
Respect Miku... Luka is Peak.
Love "Planetary Suicide"
My music taste is all over the place: mostly video games, but there are some wildcards in there. But my special interest is Digimon and Trigun.....so I can on for hours about them
I think I stumbled upon Miku with Kocchi Muite Baby
Old but gold.
I love Luka as well. I'm basic tho. My fave is Just be friends
Dancer in the Dark is so niche to be fair. Double Lariat is another favorite of mine, but it's also kinda niche. Just Be Friends just works.
Another reason I like JBF is because it has a catchy sequel titled "Answer", still from Dixie Flatline
The only two concerts I’ve been too are NF the search and one fletwood Mac’s last concerts 😅
I LOVE JAIDEN I LOVE MIKU I WANNA GO TO A CONCERT SO BAD LET'S GOOOOO
I made Nezha in Warframe look like Miku. If that doesn't tell you enough, I don't know what will.
Every time I think or hear about hatsude miku, I keep having flashbacks of the sonic riders fandub where they went into gmod and just pulled her into it.
So you like Vocaloid? You like video game music? You like anime? You like shooting things? Why not try Touhou? It's right there with a mountain of content to enjoy.
Everyone here is extremely normal and sane, unless you don't want that, in which case we are insane and degenerate.
I don’t know the Vocaloid stuff very well. I was only aware of Hatsune Miku and only one song. I know more now thanks to Jaiden’s video. I like Rolling Girl.
Pokémon music does go hard but Pokémon Mystery Dungeon music is peak.
Vocaloid was pretty niche to be fair.
Did you react to Game Grumps Devil's Third Best Moments? I swear that you did, but I can't find it on your channel no matter what I search.
i was more a fan of the horror vocaloid songs. they just had interesting concepts and unique sounds
I've seen a few. It's so cool how diverse Vocaloid is.
@@KipReacts 0.0 hey kip! love your stuff and how you can go from analytical so “ha ha jaiden go brrrrr”. but yea jaiden’s love of japan and miku gave the dedication to return to weeb/otaku culture
Hi!
Yeast, it was super cool to see a JaidenAnimations video on a subject that I love. I love her Pokémon stuff, but Vocaloid wasn't exactly widely known.
@@KipReacts i would say anime, vocaloid, and tim burton were the things that made me a horror fan with stuff like dark woods circus, higurashi, and sweeny todd
Did you react to her other video about pokemon sending her to japan?
A rare gacha pfp in the wild :o.
I’ll be honest Kip, I didn’t know you were a miku fan
I don't often get to talk about it. My high school days were filled with listening to Vocaloid. I can actually talk about an incredibly wide array of topics with some familiarity or knowledge. It's just not relevant a lot of the time.
So what you’re saying is, you’re a Pokémon fan? I’m not sure but I think that might be what you’re trying to say. In which case, what a shocking and unexpected statement. It’s not something a mere mortal such as myself could have predicted. 🤩
I too was the yugioh kid at lunch with my shitty pendulum/dragon deck (i now play gravekeepers) with my stack of naruto for later reading
I was in the last couple years oh high school when Xyz came out. Like early Genosaurus and No. 17 Xyz.
@KipReacts yeah, i started right as pendulum came out and god i was stupid XD, i was running like, obelisk in there with a bunch of random shit like white night dragon, fusilier dragon, and out there shit like number 68 sanaphond the sky prison and galaxy tomahawk
Still more consistent than things I've brought to an LGS.
Destiny Hero Plasma turbo ft Grinder Golem was hilarious in Bujin format.
@KipReacts god that sounds goofy as hell and I'm here for it, i wanna make more dumb goofy stuff to take to a local tourney and just flip everyone on their head one day, still got a lot to learn tho
I do too. I've been around yugioh since things like base SD Yugi and Kaiba.
But my total games is probably less than 200 in my life. I have a good intro understanding, but a lot to learn to play effectively.
