- This episode push comes to shove as the HKA fleet begin the fight to take back Kerbin. Rickson is pushed by anger to revolt against GMI whilst Bill and the other survivors of the attack on the KSC await HKA's return.

No joke, when you said 'Shenandoah' I thought to myself, "it would be cool to name a craft the Wabash" (have been listening to a ton of folk music lately)... And that's just what you did. Crazy!
After Battle Analysis.
Phase 1: The Longsword won due to two main factors: First is that the Trishula fighters ran on outdated arnaments not seen since the Spiritwolf/Hanland conflict; as the Trishulas also had rudimentary hulls, lacking in any strong framework they were fragile targets too.
Phase 2: The Helios' attacks proved ineffective due to the layout of the O-class Destroyers layout of arnaments in front; the relatively weak outer armour of the Helios also ensured the Destroyer also dealt damage to it. Eventually, it was destroyed by the alternate angle of the Recon Corvette's attack. The Beetlejuice had only light arnaments, making it next to useless in combat except for a solid ram.
Phase 3: The fate of the Victory was determined by the sheer power of the Helios' missile, being able to penetrate the armour. After the Kratos veered too close to Cerberus and was attacked its torpedo tore off a flank and a few engines, damage models confirm that the Kratos' armour was built from a single source, making it vulnerable to precision attack. Lastly, a Raptor fighter engaged the Keres in a precision attack, first tearing out the command unit; the cause of the secondary explosion is unknown but could be attributed to either poor design or an obstruction from a missile remnant destabilising the crafts structure.

+The Script Kitt3h! Looking forward to it myself, not sure how to film it though. Might be a bit tiring to have more of the same after this episode. Might do it as a cinematic. Kinda like the combat in episode 21, not sure though. Depends what people prefer.
This really is the mother of all episodes, 30 minutes long and filled with cinematics and combat. Just remembering back to when I released episode 22, didn't I say something like "two weeks until episode 23".... yeah, sorry about that. I simply didn't anticipate the sheer scale of this episode and the effort it would take to make it. I'll try to make episodes more regularly after episode 24, which will host the battle to take back the KSC. In any case I hope you enjoy it, I'm certainly quite proud of it :)

You should be proud of this. It was great. Its understandable it took longer to get this episode out too. 30 minutes of view time must of taken you forever to shoot as well as edit to this quality. Just keep up the good work.

Was worth the wait. That was just a amazing episode, can't wait for #24. Just don't rush it man, rather you keep it at this quality level then hurry through it.

***** Indeed, but the Battle for Laythe was the first (as far as I'm aware) large scale Stock space battle in KSP on UA-cam. While the battle for Vultures Drift was pretty large, the Battle for Laythe was massive by comparison. And yes, this battle was larger, with more ships (and it was awesome, not going to disagree there), but Macey did it first, and did it pretty damn well.
That "Inside Joke" at 8:20 it was a reference to Macey Dean and his ship the Vanguard wasn't it? Or was it the Spirit of Kerbin?

+bluePachyderm One cockpit is just an inline sunk into a 1.25m to Mk2 adapter. The other is just what the 1.25m cockpit used to look like before a few updates ago. Not a mod I'm afraid.

Agonarch I do actually run a slightly older version of KSP, though it's not the reason I can't find the old mod. I still have it and give it out on my thread. I just have no idea where the official release for it is.

The Victory didn't seem to lose her solar panels, and she certainly could have continued fighting if she was given time to recharge between manoeuvres.
I have to say, it speaks to the rigidity (and impact tolerance) of her hull that the Victory only took internal damage from that ASM Evo missile fired from the Helios.
+R Garrett Haha, sorry about that. I did actually try to keep using her after that. Unfortunately it was cut as it just couldn't stay charged long enough for me to do anything with it. Perhaps it could do with a few more power sources. Though as ScriptKitt3h said, it's amazing the armour wasn't even scratched by that missile.
It's fine. I should have added some larger panels elsewhere on the hull too when I built her.
The armour doesn't need to be thick though, the idea for the Victory was that it had so much open space inside that if a missile did get inside then it wouldn't destroy everything at once.
The video is absolutely brilliant though, probably the best in the series so far.

Here's an idea, keep the two fleets chasing after each other instead of rushing at each other to have epic broadsides and stuff

I think it would be cool if you had all your weapons mounted on controllable weapon packs, and you could bring a ship mounting a bunch of those packs so when you run out of ammo, you can rendezvous with it and take the next pack.
Not that your configuration is bad, just a random thought. I enjoy these series a lot.

Also, hatbat, I did update my craft submission post, adding more vessels and support to my company. Are they able to make in into the series? (Just asking because I never really did see a submission end date.)
One other thing: I have uploaded .jpg files of my companies flags, and I could not input them into parts from your flag part sample thing. Anyway you could remedy that? Thanks.

+greymangames Lol, thanks for not raging at me too hard man. Before I started filming the battle I posted a run down of every companies alliances, unfortunately I had to switch yours for balance reasons. Submissions are of course always open and I'll have a look at your new ships when I get a chance. As for the logo, all you need to do is download the part and put it into your parts folder (it will be in the science tab in-game). To set a custom logo you'll need to replace the image file in there with your own, although you must use the same size, name and image type as the original file. Which is why I suggest opening the original, editing with your own logo, then saving it.
