Yup, we play all the time on a LMP server. It's quite fun. We pitt our warships against eachother around Kerbin. As for Episode 26, I don't think it will ever come out. It's sort of become a joke on the server to mention it. Hatbat says he's working on it, but at a very slow pace.
You're work is absolutely beautiful, and you are the closest I've come to seeing a spiritual successor of Macey worthy of his mantel. I salute you good sir.
Captain Kerbal OMG You, You know Macey. You're absolutely right. Carry on HatBat, so far I have been living my life in a wierd sort of way. Everything I watch and experience, changes me. Your series has made me happy again, much like my Christmas PC. Happiness has come to me once again after a series of annoying events.
Captain Kerbal Yes, back in the good old days when we were hoping for a continuation of Spiritwolf... Macey was great. Too bad he did not continue his work.
Apologies if anybody was expecting something bigger given that it's been so long since the last episode. My original plan for this episode just turned out to be far too ambitious and left me burned out. I couldn't have done this without the help, advice and encouragement of my friends on the forum including Zero Films, Mobius, JTPopcorn and ScriptKitt3h. Zero films actually stayed up filming on Christmas Eve in our attempt to release the video on Christmas day. Merry Christmas everyone.
Great Video! Absolute masterpiece. Sad to see this series go. The combination of stock and modded is really great. The series was a roller coaster ride for me, and I wish there was more. Hope to see more great content from you in the future.
Don't worry, same thing happened to me 2 days ago. I have watched what I believe HatBat thinks are the best and the more story driven episodes. I really enjoy it. I love the length of these videos. Its a shame a series that has to have time like this is penalized by youtube for not bringing daily content.
This is an absolutely Beautiful Series HatBat. The editing, tank combat, and aerial combat were all just perfection. This whole series made me disbelieve what I thought was Kerbal Space Program Videos. I used to think they were just cartoon like and comical sometimes. This series proves with good editing and mods, you can make something great in the Kerbal Space Program game engine.
Ah , the olden days of KSP . Everything was easy . Everything was amazing , everything was super cool , and wacky , the kerbal game . It was not a space simulator , it was a fun space exploration game . Ah , the olden days .
Alright so I don't wanna be rude but I got it a year after launch and it has always been a great game all the way through. Yes I know the dlcs are a bit meh but the game is in my opinion much better now than it was then with more options of parts and better graphics. Also it was always intended to be an educational space flight simulator, not a space exploration simulator. Therefore it was made in collaboration with ESA, NASA and other smaller space agencies. Hence why we can see parts from real space craft in the game like the MK3 cockpit for example, used on the space shuttles. This is also quite heavily modded. If you really want a space exploration simulator, try no man's sky, astroneer and maybe even eve online just to name a few. And also to be fair, this wasn't really too long ago.
While this series is the only *good* currently-running KSP war series, there is something I must ask: more lines that talk about other fighting in future episodes. At current, the war seems to have a grand total of about fifty men involved since what we see is everything that happens. I'm not asking for loads of grand battles, just some throwaway lines to say that things are happening off-camera so that the scale is bigger. GMI's entire ground population appears to be about 5 guys, and a World War confined to about 20 ground vehicles and 4 air vehicles is silly. If other corporations were engaging other GMI tanks (it was just off-camera), or the GMI shown were only the last evacuees (because everyone else left off-camera), the issue would be resolved.
Woah there buddy, have you checked out "Solar Nations" by Vaos. It currently is not about war but it is coming soon as it is spending time developing backstory for how kerbals got to space but the ultimate goal is for combat.
You make a good point. However it's just the nature of KSP that I can't do things much bigger than I already do them. I also don't want to pretend there's much action going on off camera as I feel it would detract from what I actually show. Still I'll certainly consider bringing a wider view to the happenings of the series.
Unlike other movies and stuff I've watched this has given me a sense of tenseness because I can't tell if a unit will live or not based on whats happening Unlike media like star wars where you know the Rebels are going to win. Great stuff my guy, hope this 4 year radio silence is broken soon (:
These are always a pleasant surprise and as always are fantastic. I updated my ships not too long ago but life has kept me away from doing forum stuff. I hope to see more of this stuff next year!
HatBat. Seriously awesome episode! The dogfight felt so much more natural and the tank battle was very well done! I might go so far as to say this is the best episode yet!!
This is incredible! Seriously, The narration, the angles, the special effects, and all this from a simulation game. Maybe this is how we should start story boarding on other films.
CodeConfused Thanks, very high praise. This is sort of how a lot of CGI heavy films are storyboarded in previs. Have a look at the behind the scenes of the Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit. They show it off pretty well.
Hey... this was really a work of art and im glad im able to watch what great content you make. i started looking into editing and mods that make ksp videos look really good and i see that it takes...a long ass time to do what you do and make it look as good as you make it. so good job and i hope i can do what you do one day
Glad to see it up! A great continuation of the series, and a nice conclusion to the story arc. In addition, don't feel bad about burnout- happens to all of us at some point.
Impressive, the jets are like the ones from "Stealth" the movie and the maneuver in 8:20 where he pulled up is from Green Lantern, Ryan Reynolds used it against those Autonomous Jet Fighters.
I just want to say I don't know if you're still keeping up with the channel or not I see that it's been a year since your last posting on some of these I've really enjoyed the series enjoyed watching it in my mind time well spent great editing I like your commentary overall five out of five stars I truly enjoyed watching it I hope you make more or I hope that you get this I really appreciated it thank you very much
I absolutely love this ksp movie it's like a documentary and a movie at the same time the graphics are amazing and stunning I give this movie 5 Stars🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 absolutely astonishing excellent work👍
Hey, a few years ago, HatBat did an episode. The intro said: "70 years after the events of Kethane station..." I would like to see the series continued with hat.
>The series isn't over

I still have hope

Wow, there must have been so much work going into this!
When are you going to make a new video?
This is the most beautiful filmwork I've ever seen in KSP. Thanks for making this.

Talk about a plot twist!
This episode was extremely good! It felt like watching something in the cinemas.

The series isn't over. It's just the end of the current story arc. Glad you're enjoying it.
Seriously? Gramercy!
Dude, Best KSP movie story ive seen thus far kinda feel stupid for starting on #25 but im going back and watching them all.
I did this too starting at like 22 or something, though sadly a part of season 1 is unavailable

9:02 "primarily an anti tank aircraft," 9:09, 90% of the missles its carrying are air to air
It had 6 AGMs and 6 AAMs so 50/50
Great vid as always! I'm glad I could help out with advice and encouragement. And I'm happy to see my Vikus has a certified five-star safety rating!

Why are episodes 3 to16 private btw? I'd like to watch the entire series from the beginning if possible :D
BTW another good war series that is currently running are Fall of Kerbin

Nothing really happened in those episodes, since they were between the fighting and the series' mission statement.

GMI are the bad guys
HKA is leading a coalition to liberate the KSC from the GMI
