The exterior of this jome was gergous and the layout beautiful.
I like this property quite a good bit. It's simple but stylish in its design, and looks as though it has a high 'livability' quotient. My only criticisms are the fact that the front door opens into the kitchen and dining area, and the super-small third bedroom. Excellent filming, by the way. Thank you.
As much as I love the house, it’s the beautiful, surrounding woods that make this a great place to live. Fire pit and hot tub add great outdoor perks.
It's really just a nicely decorated pole barn with great landscaping.

Lovely holiday home! What's behind the last door on the right? I didn't notice if there were laundry facilities in the kitchen.

Very thoughtful on those barn doors for the rooms hallway.
It's beautiful, but the moment I saw the children's room with no windows in it. I only thought one thing...If a fire should ever occure, "God forbid", that's a potential death trap. This would not be legal in Norway, where I'm from.
Single story with front and rear exit is perfectly legal only egress is required on second story and basement.

@@phoneemail8503 What if a fire were to break out in the hallway, blocking the door and therefor any means of escape? Then whoever is in that room will be caught in a death-trap. No way I would ever let my child sleep there, I would'nt even sleep there myself.
I want to copy this design so bad! With some minor adjustments would be my dream set up

pamela97015 Good call, Pam. I’m an old insurance guy. We typically would not insure a place with bedrooms like that. No way out if there is a fire inside the house. The kids are toast.
And, yeah, I’m touchy about storage too. Small is smart. Smaller is something we all need to do. But small-to work means not only Marie Kondo, but also having a few drawers and cupboards for the things left to put away after you downsize. The smaller it is, The cleverer the storage needs to be.
I do like the look of this place. But, the interior layout could have gone through a couple more iterations maybe.

Very, very nice...but, uhm, where's the laundry...and storage space - y'know, those kind of features that regular folks need for day-to-day existence.

It really is hard to guage what size metal building to start with. Is it square or rectangular? Im terrible with a blank slate. I need a start and then i can run with it.
They have several on here....they'll build the barndominium to your specification they come 1200 square feet 30 by 40 ...10-foot porch four columns straight roof with your decor choices you get to design their barndominiums

No closets Guess no one has clothes in the family? Awesome place, but - gotta have a place to keep your pants, shirts etc. Plus need a place for washer and dryer. Add 6’ to both sides and it’s fixed.

Great job! I hope you did all the work yourself. Im a remodeler, and live 3 hours away. I actually honeymooned in hocking hills. I wondered if there was anyone taking advantage of the vacation rental situation there. Doing the work yourself you could be king of that market! Alot of other places ive seen were dumps by comparison.

I see from the wall hanging this is in Ohio! No basement I take it. Does the water pipes freeze in the winter or is it a 3 season home? Very very nice though! I would love to do something like it in Wisconsin!
1200 sq.ft......30x40 barndominium out of Texas .....they all have the same structure 30 by 40, 10 ft. front porch big columns and you design the interior yourself they have a website and a couple more videos on here showing interior designs all different

@@wickhamworks3602 look below the video in the fine print...the cabins all come the same shell...you add porch and interior walls cabinets, etc.
they don't care if you want to build it cause they want you to rent this one!!

If anyone is looking to build one. It'll cost around $17k if you did the work yourself and up to $50k if you paid someone. An architect on youtube already did the math

@@brandonhall9042 I love your place. I've been looking at barndominiums for some time as a building option. Can you tell me, is the metal manufacturer that you used local to you? Did you paint it black or was it made that way? And is it steel frame construction? I live in tornado alley, lol.
What was in the room you didn't go into, is it just a closet?
I'm guessing it's the laundry room, at least, that's where I'd put it. It does beg the question, where is the closet. I didn't see one.
