it looks like a Boss TU-3 CHROMATIC TUNER.Can be used as a bypass.
I was thinking the same thing? Maybe he’s bypassing the snare trigger? Does anyone know what he’s doing with it?
It's bypassing the snare trigger. You can see him turn it off before the last chorus. You can hear what sounds like a clap sound with lots of reverb under the snare.
What samples are on the SPD? do you have a link to where they came from?
