NDI is highly capable nowadays with a good 1Gb or 2.5Gb network, 5Gb or 10Gb are being democratised.
Also, with a workstation and a beefy GPU, it's a no-brainer for software solutions as well. Software solutions have another benefit, which is to be able to fine-grain tune the setup.

Hello Sir, We are using vmix in our live streaming. We have 2 to 3 cameras including ptz. Is it necessary to add Atem video switcher? Or vmix would be enough? Thank you

Most of our projects use just one switcher. Vix is incredibly capable and we will run that sometimes with 10 cameras at one time. We do the same thing on the hardware side of things. The only times we mix and match are: one. If we’re looking to run, other screens or confidence monitors, and looking for the reliability or separation of standalone unit, too. For bailing out - in case of computer, technical difficulties, and three. If it’s necessary for utilizing other person or gfx. Otherwise, Vix, as a standalone is amazing.
