Keep your head up Scott, you've got a lot on and you're doing remarkably well to keep spinning all those plates. Give yourself a break about putting on a bit of weight, you're just queuing up some extra sessions for later in the year! Good luck with the sunshine rides, fingers crossed for you

Scott, so sorry that you have a meniscus tear.
I get it. Please though, if you do go outside on the bike, maybe consider using trainers and flat pedals. That way you can get the outside fresh air on two wheels, but if you do have to stop suddenly and put the bad leg down, you won't have to twist the knee.
All the best. And hope all goes well on the 25th.

Could you not try using a e-bike ? It’ll keep the pressure off your knee I know that as I’ve had one. Hopefully you’ll be up and running before summer comes mate. I know what you’re going through as I’ve had my fair share of injury’s. Try keeping positive mate as soon enough you’ll be swinging your leg over the bike and heading outside

I'd rather not use an eBike. I'm not against them, but I'd rather do the pedalling, and if anything goes wrong, it's a damn heavy rig to lug around as opposed to under 8kg for the TCR

@@CycletheNation I agree with you was just thinking that the motor will put a lot less stress on your injury

@@CycletheNation plus you still have to pedal to make the bike move. You’ll be surprised how much they can give your cardio system a workout when you use high cadence

@@CyclingwithRuss TBH I'd rather be on the eBike as it's less likely to stress it in any way and I get to choose how hard to pedal. Thanks for the suggestion though.
