Would the stock (62 plymouth) 35-40amp ammeter, handle the output of a 78amp mopar alternator ?
The bypass the amp gauge thing drives me crazy i fixed both mine when i got em not had a problem in twenty years
does that gage produce back charging isue's from alternator?
The gauge is simply a strip of metal with two studs and a magnet to move the needle.
“Mad Electrical crap” Hilarious. Finally, a video from someone who understands the real causes of the mythical “spontaneously combusting” Chrysler ammeters. Incorrect aftermarket loading and ammeter stud connection abuse.
Still got mine
Good stuff to know ...Mine works fine for now . You still on here ..??
Yup haven't made anything new lately but trying to come up with some ideas.
Fuseable link saves your ride from burning down
Nice Dude tailgate emblem
Thanks !!!
Good info! Yes it's usually someone "inexperienced" aka dumbbutts that do something like this then blame the gauge.
