Hello all, hope you enjoy today's video! All the details are in the blog post linked here and in the description box if you're curious about specific items I show: simplybychristine.com/journal/2021/whats-in-my-bag
The items inside your purse are not only classic but timeless.
She reenacted eating at a restaurant, grocery shopping, putting eye drops in her eyes, working and etc for us! That's pure dedication! As a minimalist, I felt bad that my edc wasn't 'minimal' enough, because I work two jobs and have long commutes. Thanks for showing me that practicality is most important
Aw of course, thanks so much!!
Two things I’m nosy about, what someone’s house looks like inside and what’s in my bag tour (just love the different styles.) Yours simple, purposeful. 👍🏾
Haha aw thank you!
I love how you stick to your old phone as long as it works good. Unlike most of the people who just keeps upgrading to new smartphone models even if their phones are still working fine.
I'm so happy that I found a non-hypocritical sustainable person ❤️
Every item in your Bag is highly functional, sustainable and durable. Been watching your vids and im hooked. More of this please. You inspired me so much
Goes to show that when you buy less you can buy better. All really good quality items that will stand the test of time, and/or are worthwhile maintaining.
Your videos are very inspirational on my minimal low waste living journey! I'm not perfect, but your content helps keep me motivated.
Thanks so much Abigail! (:
I don’t use a bag any more. I just have jackets that have pockets that will fit my keys, phone, purse and a foldable tote.
I love that christine is still using iPhone 6, it proves that she is really taking care of her things and not pressured to follow the newest trend
I've noticed since going low waste, my bag has gotten so much heavier too
I'd love to see a 'how many item I own?' I find them fascinating lol
Thank you for sharing! I especially like the idea of caring an extra pen for others including the spouse ☺️
This was so calming. I love how intentional you are with all your items. This has also taught me to bring my own utensils and containers when I go out to eat.
Love to watch your videos in the morning, best start to my day! :)
Hi! I'm starting with minimalism and this video gave me the "hows" to maintain my bag in order and not carry not useful stuff. Thank you so much for sharing it!.
Very nice surprise. Thank you for sharing. 👍🏻💕
I adore all your videos, they are so inspirational!
Love your bag, next time I'm in need of a new work bag I might just get the same one. Lovely video, thanks for sharing
I really enjoyed this video. Very simple and very much helpful. Thank you, Christine!
I’m thankful my daughter is out of needing a ton of items in my personal bag. I invested in a system from Tom Bihn, where everything clips into place and is washable. Plus they repair their bags! My oldest bag from them is over ten years old and it’s been repaired once plus the clips replaced twice.
A lovely video but one thing to consider carrying are some headache tables. I find these come in so handy xx
This video is so soothing :)
The Issara tote looks amazing for its age. Hope you can do a wear-and-tear review on it. Thanks.
I have the same exact tiffin... 😂😂😂
They let you use your own cutlery where you go out to eat? Wild
Love how organized you are btw.
possibly in places where there is plastic cutlery only. i think she only uses her own if the cutlery available isnt reusable--ie stainless steel
your style of making videos is so different and unique and lovely. it’s calm and slow paced but it does not feel boring at all. the effort that went into filming and editing is so clearly seen but it looks effortless and seamless. also, there’s so much to learn here about zero waste living and random facts about you. i found your channel recently and i am obsessed. you and peter are really sweet. your videos are art and i am a fan! thank you for all the hard work that you do to deliver this quality content that is so refreshing, lovely and informative. have a nice day!
Aw thank you Rishika! Appreciate your kind words and encouragement (:
love your video ! you channel is so underrated
Aw thanks Elizabeth (:
My 3 things I never go out without: Keys, wallet and phone! The rest are only accessories (so basically unnecessary stuff)! How many of you also have as well my top 3?
Me too 😊
I keep forgetting to add my mask in my to-go check list. 😅😅 I pretty much wrap it around my wallet now so I'm certain I have it.
I usually just take my card and bus card. I don't tend to take my phone as I don't answer calls and don't immediately reply to messages. (We have a pin code lock so no need for keys).
😊😊😍😍love the bag😊
Hi , I'm new to your channel and I loved it! I love your tote so much, I've been on the hunt for the perfect tote for a little while now.
Great Bag!
I keep band aids in my wallet too. And some clothespins.
Haha, i used my iPhone 6S for 7 years before saying goodbye to it and upgrading to its double (the iPhone 12)
I have one concern. Isn't it heavy? Maybe a backpack is better choice for all that stuff 🤔
Yes I can be - heaviest item is definitely my laptop, but I don't bring it out very often, but when I did, it was usually from a vehicle to an office building at most. (: And I like bringing around a half full water bottle so it isn't as heavy, otherwise it's fairly easy to carry! I just wanted to share what this bag could potentially hold in various circumstances but I don't lug it around like this every day.
@@33Jenesis not sure if you intended but your comment is funny!
A nylon backpack like Longchamp, Kipling or Lesportsac for me.
I really loved ur bag and that's great ur using iphone 6 till now 🤩
Thank you (:
I used to carry a huge tote with all of the same items... or what if I need these items, but then I was like, why??
So now I am just a keys, wallet, phone person. However I do always keep reusable utensils, a reusable “take out” container and reusable bags in my car, so I can grab when needed. I also have an emergencies kit in my car, bandages, chapstick, hand sanitizers, Kleenex etc...
wow!
Your videos are always so inspiring 😊 Thank you for uploading! May I know where is your sweater from? It looks so perfect on you!
Thank you! It's from Reformation.
Hi Christine! I also love your sweater. Could you please give the link or name of this sweater? Thank you.
That's a big bag! You come prepared. 😁 Any suggestion for good chopsticks? I have had some trouble finding good stainless ones for small noodles. Thanks.
Haha yes! I'm known to be prepared for many occasions. My mom actually got the chopsticks from a korean grocery store, so not sure if I have any other recs besides that!
from one tote bag lover to another, is it bearable on the shoulder when u carry all of those stuffs? huge respect for trying to stay prepared all the time tho!
I hope I don’t sound judgmental, but may I know the reason why you don’t use a cellphone case? Btw, you have a great bag! I’m also saving up for a classic bag that would lasts.
I just discover your channel and I love it. Thank you. I do have a question? Why a leather bag? Just curious.....
love
This is the best "that's in my bag" video I've ever seen! Even if I am not a minimalist I really really relate to your utilitarian approach of things. I always find myself back on your channel with a mile :)
Here is a little trick : if you want more durable sunglasses, choose an all "plastic" frame (it is rather "resin" in the case of high quality frames). Because as you take them on and off again, only wide, plastic branches will stand the test of time. Metal usually bends at some point unless it's titanium XD
If you find frames that suit you really well, like Christine, by all means don't apply this logic. But if your mind is not set between a choice of frames, I would recommend to take this into consideration :)
Aw thanks Nathalie! They only had to be repaired because the coating of the frame started to rub off, and another time they went into the washer on accident. But dropped them off at a glasses repair shop and they fixed it no problem! (:
What is the name of your ray-ban sun glasses?
I really like the material/colour theme you have for your items. Really nice!
One question out of curiosity, have you ever consider menstrual cup? I used it for years now and I find it very convenient.
You carry a lot. 😜 great video. 😘
Your bag is beautiful. Most bags tug at the handles. Yours looks new. Thank you for the video.
Of course, and thank you! (:
❤️❤️❤️
I'm curious about your 5year old iPhone 6. How's the battery holding up?
It's totally fine! I don't use very many apps though and turn off a lot of location tracking/notifications to keep energy use to a minimum!
i was really hoping she'd pull out a bunny rabbit or something real unexpected
I wish I would've kept my iPhone 7 plus and just replaced the battery instead of buying a newer iPhone. The 7 wasn't even slowing down for me...
♡
Hi! What a great video, so soothing. What model is the Ray bans? The link doesn’t work unfortunately. Thanks!
Here's the link! bit.ly/2hqh5pu
@@simplybychristine thank you so much! I might splurge 😎
I love your Ray Ban sunglasses. Is it the "erika" Classic?
Correct!
What model are your sunnies?
It's linked in the blog post here (: simplybychristine.com/journal/2021/whats-in-my-bag
Christine, do you know of any zero waste stores in SF?
There's Rainbow Grocery and also Fillgood in the East Bay!
what's the brand of your bag?
Issara!
I have used cloth pads but they never stay put. Now I use period panty
I thought it’s only me who still use my iphone 6 😆
Great! But your bag looks very heavy to carry around. ...
Which is why I typically don't! Heaviest item is definitely my laptop, but I don't bring it out very often, but when I did, it was usually from a vehicle to an office building at most. (: And I like bringing around a half full water bottle so it isn't as heavy, otherwise it's fairly easy to carry!
This is my first time seeing your video.. you seemed to be very perfectionist... you want everything in a certain way only... is that right?
Puoi tradurre in italiano grazie ..🖐😊🇮🇹😘😘ti seguo da un po è non capisco...
Nice video... U r looking so sweet
Applying a leather conditioner will prolong the life of your bag.
Yup! I am planning to make one myself very soon (:
