In the aftermath of Migos member Takeoff's death in Houston, I'm sharing a message to young men about the importance of not letting your ego get the best of you.
I felt compelled to share this message with you. My hope is that you, or someone you love, will never have to experience this kind of tragic event.

Definitely needed to hear this. Today while I was working out at the park an older man yelled at me for having my gym rings behind the basketball rim. He was pretty hostile about it so I walked away from the situation but I felt like a punk for doing that. This video made me realize that walking away might’ve been the best course of action. Great video as always🙏🏾

My respect for you bro has grown after this one these are wise words you are speaking there's situations where you have to fight wheather your life or your families life is on the line and there's no other option ,but most of the time like you said it's an ego trip and alot of people will put you in situations to get an emotional response. These days you gotta really have emotional intelligence because alot of people are not tapped in .by you mastering yourself you can easily be the one to descalate a situation and save people .

true wisdom. the toughest guy is the guy who masters his self , who is a master over his own (no good) desires. Thank you 🙏 can you please do a video on staying away from drugs or getting off drugs bc too many young guys are dying from overdose and fentanyl, a tough love video is needed. Appreciate you, you helped me to become more discipline in life. May you always be Blessed.

Very well stated! The mentality of ‘I have to fight for my respect and you’re not gonna disrespect me’ is killing a lot of young black men. As a teacher and mentor, I tell the boys all the time, you have to have a sense a self-worth and respect for yourself first. And that’s the mentality that’s missing. Like you said, it’s the ‘tough guy’ mentality too.

I was at the Florida Georgia College Football game recently and one of the fans there hates FL teams so much, that from a distance he was cursing me out because I came reppin' my FL Gators Suit, and was seated front row where all the Georgia Dawg fans were located. I thought for a moment about reacting physically to it, but then I had to remind myself, that he's just a loser, and is just 1 person that ain't worth it. It could escalate into something far worse so I just let it chill. All the other fans showed me love and support tho. Thanks for spitting gems on this one Brandon because we all need to just think things through. I found out at the end of the game, people were slurring antisemitic things to others. Goes to show you, me keeping my cool, more than likely prevented any escalations for both during and after the game was over. Stay strong fellas! 💪🏾 Brandon, keep the grind up! You almost at 1 million!

Definitely respect is a huge thing especially when you’re younger you will act emotionally and irrational when you’re disrespected instead of just saying like you said ok I won’t mess that person anymore. I was big on not getting disrespected when I was younger and still am. But I’d act differently then. This one time this guy who was kind of known as a thug disrespected me got in my face and put his finger on me and I let it go thinking this guy is someone that may shoot me. A year or 2 later and shot and killed his baby momma her bf and himself. I normally wouldn’t let someone do me like that but I weirdly sensed this dude was too reckless and crazy how it turned out.

Needed to hear this. Got in a tense situation at the club/bar the other night. Accidentally pushed some dude while trying to get to the front. Bro went off talking about how I stepped on his $2000 shoes. (Definitely cap but I digress) I respectfully apologized because I understand how frustrating that can be.
Told him I meant no disrespect but he just went on and on about “putting me in my place.” And then his friend chimed in “I know you’re little but wait your turn.”
Told him “who are you calling little?🤨” And instantly I felt the tension rise
He barked something else at me, but at that point I got my drinks and walked away with that angry feeling of “who tf does he think he is.” I felt like turning back and giving him a piece of my mind
But trust me guys, its not worth it. Especially over something so trivial. Sometimes its best to just take a deep breath and let it go. 💯

Rappers are entertainers, no rappers alive are really out there living that life they portray to be. Don't be fooled, most these dudes who did live that are dead or in prison bruh, learn from real rappers that did that and payed for their dues.. Rip Soulja Slim, Free C murder! Rip Tupac. 🙏... Quavo got a big mouth and think he's about that action, he's the reason this happened. If you ain't living that life stay away from anyone who is or around it, not even being fully involved gets you in trouble and that's what happened here.. be smart you ain't got nothing to prove to anyone! There's hotheads in every hood and city and that's nothing new, it can happen anywhere and anytime like this, no where is safe, when you bring that and someone wants to do something to you, all of a sudden all laws are put away and street rules applies which equals NONE...SO THINK TWICE! 🙏👍

Once a young man approached the Prophet Muhammad and asked him for some advice. The Prophet replied, “Do not become angry,” and he repeated this three times.
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The strong man is not the one who wrestles (who is able to overcome others with his physical strength), but the strong man is in fact the one who is able to control himself when in a state of anger."
Don’t make rash decisions when you are angry, calm down, look at the big picture.. most things are not worth getting upset about and are not worth fighting with others over.
