Im in my first year of college and I got a grant because my family is low income. The government gave me over 3000$ and is paying for my education but the only catch is you have to have good grade and have good attendance. It kind of makes me sad how ignorant people my age are about going to college, you can tell they really haven’t even bothered to actually look into going to college. I also know some girls that got scholarships because they actually do their work and have a good work ethic.
I make $45k a year. Don’t qualify for financial aid. Mortgage is $1500 a month not including ,toiletries groceries, utilities, and insurance. I am living paycheck to paycheck but can’t even afford to get financial aid. I am going to a state college, paying out of pocket by picking up a second job. Once I get my associates degree I will get a good paying job and then pay off my mortgage.
2023, it’s really not a gateway today. AI is on its way to every career near you. Realize Brandon is an early millennial, and went around the year 2000; a completely different realm in terms of societal state and microeconomics, technology etc
Yo I needed this bro I’m 29 putting myself through school right now! Appreciate you big dawg! And it’s good that there’s someone out here in the internet space teaching the youth how actually to be successful and not just some fuck up with big dreams lol
Keep coming back to this video to remind myself why I’m going. Thank you Brandon. It’s been hard going back when I’ve been used to working with my hands all of my life but I’m realizing as a brown kid that I don’t want to stay stagnant.
Going to a top school and serving in the Army were 2 of the best decisions of my life both personally and professionally. I'm currently enrolled in Business School at Yale University; am 25 years old - zero debt - more leadership experience than most people will ever have in their life - memories I will always reflect on with pride and nostalgia - good physical shape - lifelong friends and community. I can't even begin to describe how much it all means to me -seriously, I appreciate BC dropping a good word on going to a top school and military service -I'm a personal testimony of how true that is.
I would say if you want, go to college, but go to the cheapest one you can. Community college or a commuter state school or if you can afford it, a flagship state school. Whatever works best for you. There are jobs out there where they don't necessarily ask for a college degree, but to me, more often than not, there's employers out there who have preferences even down to what school you went to, what you studied, etc. Great video, Brandon! These were the sentiments I had for a while as well.
College did not destroy me instead it discipline, prepare and gave me drive to pursue more in life. You have college to fall back on when you don’t have the skills and work experience. Actually, the Air Force Academy was my first step. I applied to many universities around the nation, got accepted at NYU and UPenn. While in college I engage in many college activities and study abroad around the world. Applied and approved for government grants and aid, scholarships and I worked part time as a sales associate. Next, I came in the Air Force giving orders as I pursued OTS, became 1st lieutenant, promoted to 2nd lieutenant and later in life as Captain.
It also depends on what kond of Business you want to run. If you want to be a medical specialist who runs a hospital, which is a very lucrative business, you need a medicine degree. Some businesses require you to qualify as a professional in that field
One more time king keto is spitting truths, the biggest one being that most get rich gurus blame college because they want you to spend your money on their shit and/or were bums in college!Keep up the good work G!You are one of the few guys on Yt in this field that is original!
I got a $7500 grant to attend a community college and study business. I think I should definitely capitalize on this and make use of free school that's offered. Especially if I can go to a University afterward as part of a bridge program and attend a good school
I predict in the next 12 years it’s going to be a lot of 30 year olds enrolling in college as Freshman pissed off that they didn’t go to college when they were younger because they listened to some UA-camr 😂🤣😂
Understandable. In my case I think it is wise for someone to get some form of education to work on a trade or career. I'm 32 and went to Trade scjool long time ago and I ak making bread. I have seen some 30s elsewhere who are complaining. Then you got the college forever types who simply wants to meet younger women. There is a literal 35 year old who looks 25 who is only going to college to pull girls. Like him, people be wasting time and money.
College isnt a pathway to success by any means but it is not neccessarily bad if u have a plan so its not the end of the world for me. You can generally start a trades business after a few years of doin it and if u smart u can generate a lot of revenue
I'm in my 30s and I was told repeatedly that college wasn't necessary. I listened. What they didn't say was how much harder it is to get in rooms we need to get into with having gone to college. I read a lot, and the more I've learned, the more I realized how behind I am versus where I could have been. I'm doing okay, but not as well as I could be.
Greatly appreciate the shoutout for military service & tossing an add-on because I don't want the audience to be misled, the "officers don't fight" comment was not entirely true (think Jocko Willink, or even Lieutenant Dan -haha) - In today's military, you have much choice about whether or not you want to go into a combat role versus a support role, but that's true for both officer and enlisted (you can enlist and work in logistics, intelligence, etc. You can become an officer and join the Infantry, Artillery, Tankers, Aviators, Special Forces, etc. Being an officer versus enlisted isn't the determining factor nearly as much as your personal abilities and aspirations.
Marine line company officers are definitely in the fight. As enlisted man, I didn't see many good officers. But the ones that were, were at an outstanding level.
Wow, accidentally found this video. Dude says the truth, education is a corner stone of any successful business. My best friend got an education as an electrical engineer, 15 years later he runs a contractor firm that serves half of the government building in Reno.
Depends, there are studies that concluded that people who went to university score much higher in IQ (1-5 points per year of further education) compared to those who don’t, also it can teach you many life skills which are useful down the line.
Just at the right time. I already have a master in CS, and a bachelor in linguistics, I would like to go back to college to learn entreneurship and accounting.
23 year old black guy, recently got out of the Marines, I have the GI Bill which will take care of my college, the only problem is I have no idea what to major in. I just know I want to make 6 figures
If you want to go through the typical business route, look between finance/accounting/economics at whatever your local state university is. I would not recommend entrepreneurship/business because those are way too general and oversaturated with kids who do not know what they are doing, and marketing is not the most secure path unless u end up doing what brandon did. With finance/accounting/economics, you can easy get a decent first job with just a bachelors (fyi, i am a first gen from north africa studying econ at my state uni, and i got a job lined up for 80k, fully remote, full benefits, starting in December as a project coordinator, so game plan is to get promoted/job hop to project management and hopefully make 100-150k while staying fully remote). Engineering is cool too, but hard asf. If you wanna be a doctor or lawyer, that's cool too (200k+ depending on wya) but be prepared to stay in school for at least another decade. Hopes this helps homie!
Depends on what you go to college for. If you go for actually good degrees like becoming a doctor or engineer then yes, if you're going for nonsense degrees that get you nowhere than you got a problem. In my case went the technical route and I ak making good money in IT.
im kinda torn inbetween working or going to college im saving up to make sure im good as far as tuition for the first 2 years if employment doesn't work out but idk what i wanna do
“Greg” an admin of your discord has a service where he texts trade alerts. In one of his rants, he said that you don’t know “crap” about the stock market & he’s only an admin in your discord for the exposure & that he plans on leaving in a year & bring as many of your paid members with him. Thought you should know the stuff that mf says about you.
You don't need accounting, you need to identify a profitable niche with a problem that you can fix and high marges. As an AML guy I see all day long transactions of successful international businesses with cross border payments and logistics. You can make millions by selling soccer gloves, just saying, it fixed a problem... plus one of richest man of China Zhong Shanshan sold water bottles...it also fixed a problem😅
I am 18 in high ticket sales moved out of the getto and all but shit I am making good money I dont think i need to thou. @@neox9369no , you can’t argue the fact that college graduates flat out make more money than people that don’t.

Bro this dude keeps it real, he is not like every other 30 year old man trying to sell you a course

One of the very few influencers that actually understood why college has it’s own benefits 💪💪
