Tim was a school teacher, he has seen the damage that bullying and racism can cause children. He has zero tolerance. I was at a concert that a "lady" started to go Karen with heckling... Tim shut her down in 20 seconds.
I love Home Free's version of this beautiful song. They really brought out the emotion of it. Tim's lead is amazing with his deep bass. Also love Rob & Chance's solos plus the great harmonies. And Adam is tasteful in making the simple sound of pounding his chest & thigh. I believe we can change our course in life. We don't have to make the same mistakes as our parents. We can choose to rise above it.
The lyrics imply that we can't do that on our own. And the sub-text of 'in the blood' calls up images of the Christian faith and a relationship with God through Christ.
John Mayer has said it only took him 20 minutes to write this song. He just opened his mouth and it just came out. Honesty has a tendancy to do that. I love this rendition tho
Another banger Nick. This is a John Mayer cover. He is such an awesome writer. Very deep lyrics & I agree with you about Chance, it's one of his prettiest - it's short but they nailed it having him do that section.
Home Free knows exactly how to get the most out of a song. This time was a case of "less is more" They don't put sounds where they don't belong! They give us passion, party, or peace in just the right amounts. I never leave a Home Free video feeling "Meh, it was ok." This is one of the songs that I come back to quite often because it makes me think about what's important. I love that you are truly a fan, and yes, Home Free wants no part of racism or bullying. They are so unapologetic about standing right up front with sensitive social issues and their patriotism. They try their best to achieve their quest in making the world a better place by choosing to be inclusive to all people. Unless it's someone that's up to no good and doesn't hate and discontent. The world needs more love and acceptance and less chaos and destructive behaviors. Thanks for another great reaction! ❤
Seeing Tim stand up for what is right is a breath of fresh air every single time I see his posts. He knows he has an extremely conservative fanbase, and yet he always makes his opinions public. It would be so easy for him to stay silent on these issues, but the fact that he doesn't speaks volumes. Breaking down southern stereotypes with his platform! Go on Tim!!!
Beautiful song by John Mayer. So much deep meaning in this text. John Mayer is a master of lyricism. I think this version is even better than the original. The arrangement, vocals and exquisite harmonies of Home Free were spot on. When Tim kicks in with his fantastic voice, all sorts of little goose feet run over my body. And I really appreciate Adam's simple heartbeat rhythm, the recording is so beautiful. Great reaction al always!
Yes- Nick! I love what Tim and the boys stand for. Their meaningful songs fill my heart. I’m so happy you’re gonna see them! Let them know on their FB page or Twitter. Maybe you’ll get a backstage pass.
Such a beautiful song. And as a Christian, it had a sub-text to the lyrics, that the answer is in the Blood of Christ. It tears me up every time I hear it, pulls on the heartstrings. I miss my mom, gone 6 years now, and I miss my dad, who passed way back in 1978 when I was 18.
I had the absolute honor of being front row right in front of John Mayer whilst he sang In The Blood. He looked at me whilst singing and I had to hold in the tears. This song is so heartfelt and honest it hurts.
This is an outstanding cover. Shoutout too John Mayer for the lyrics, it's a really deeply and soul searching song. But HF made it go right through your deepest feelings in the spinelcord They slowed it down a nudge from the original, kept the beat simpel like a heartbeat and those five part harmonies are just like magic.
Nature versus nurture…. Are we predestined for repeat the cycle of behaviors our ancestors lived, or are we able to actively choose our own destiny? Who are we really at the end of the day? Home Free brought out the uncertainty and emotions of these beautiful lyrics so perfectly. Simple, smooth, deep…perfectly driven by Adam’s body percussion, the very heartbeat of the song. It’s always a treat when he harmonizes with the rest of the guys! Adding his lovely voice makes the harmony so full and rich.
Their music just gets thru to the core of a person. I've watched quite a few reactors do Home Free just to see their awe of the talent these guys possess. You were one of the first for me and you haven't let me down for almost a year.
This is better than the original version. Tim and Chance have voices that strengthen the meaningful verses and of course Rob is perfectly suited for the chorus with both Austin and Adam harmonizing with him. Tim was raised right and calls out the wrongs that he sees in this world. I also saw Tim's tweet and reported that vileness. That account was shut down soon after Tim's call to his followers.
We all love them for their spectacular music and the fact that they are just good, decent people. They make us laugh, cry, think, and just feel better about being alive. If anyone deserves to be loved by their fans it is them. They sure fill the empty places in my heart.
You are one of my favorite reactors to videos. You are so animated and have such a love a good music you’re a joy to watch plus you make me laugh a lot which I appreciate! But it’s not hard to be that way when you’re watching home free because they are so good!
Thank you for reacting! This is a favorite. It sounds almost haunting. It talks about family and do the bad habits follow us or can we wash them away. A Nature VS Nurture type of thing.
I sincerely LOVE how passionate ThatSingerReacts about this kind of music. You would do the same thing as me with these songs brother, I pause them and rewind them as well lol. Home Free hands down my favorite band period...Yes I understand it's acapella but sweet lord. They are a true gift from the lord above. I'm just sincerely glad you get the same feeling and chills that I do lol
You are absolutely going to be blown away when you hear them live. Went to the Dallas concert last December. I was so star struck when they came on stage, I couldn't breathe! Really enjoyed your reaction today! Check out Helplessly Hoping. It's my all time favorite of their videos.
This song I feel has such a deep meaning but it's different for everyone who hears it. Love Home Frees version and in my opinion they upgraded it. Your one of the first reactors I ever subscribed to almost a year ago now. Glad to see how your channel has grown and congratulations on getting tickets to their concert. You'll have to let us know how it was and I hope you get to talk with them in person. Nice reaction as usual. ✌❤
Dominic did you realise that with your 'Reactions' your are sharing a little bit of your 'heart and soul' with us. Thank you for a beautiful reaction to this song...it's a heavy subject yet treated with such moving lyrics....Love it
I swear to everything good, I just want to jump through the screen a hug you! You are adorable and make me smile every single time I watch your reactions!
Thanks for another great reaction! Have you done Castle on a Hill? Chance gets to shine again. I love his voice at the smooth baritone range where he just cuts through my soul. Yours, Can't Outrun You. Then the fun one he does Some Girls Do. There are so many great HF songs! Thanks for this one! Take care.
I have so many of the same thoughts you do on their songs. I agree that this song fits Chance's voice perfectly. And yes, those extended layered harmonies are like angels singing!
I love how you always comment on how they always do their songs just standing there, whether it be in a building, on grass, or at some other landmark. For fans who know them from the sing off, there is a moment in one of the interview segments where they are discussing how they don’t dance or move. How they’re the group that will just stand or sing and sing. I think its either the second or third round/performance if you’re interested in checking it out to see some background to their…standing. It’s also fun to hear/see how much they’ve grown.
Okay, another one I just realized was tailor made for Chance's voice is Winter Song. That one has some AMAZING harmonies, as always. They all sound so good, but you just made me think of it when you mentioned Chance specifically
It’s one of my favorites of theirs. It’s a cover of a John Mayer song. I love the lyrics too but I like HF’s version better than Mayer’s. Yes, their harmonies are so dang good. Thankfully, I had good family so I didn’t struggle with this but I know people who do have broken families and it’s often in the blood. Takes super hard work to not repeat the mistakes of family but it can be done. It’s often repeated throughout the kids and their kids and so on. I agree with you SR, Home Free gives me chills. I’m so glad you’re going to one of their concerts. You’ll have fun! Enjoy!😍
I’ve never had a group before make me want to change for the better and your channel has allowed that I think you and the group for being the people you are
I have this thing I do before I listen to a cover, especially if home free are doing it and I haven't heard the original. I'll go and watch/ listen to the original first. I did that with their cover of castle on the hill and mayday. Their cover is always going to be as good as the original at the very least, but is often better than the original.
I’m just seeing your reviews of Home Free. Your reaction to them is much like mine hearing them for the first time. I love them. I’m not happy about Austin leaving the group though. Love your reviews!!
Great reaction! I am a recent subscriber and I have enjoyed watching your genuine and robust reacting! Being a Home Fry myself, I'd love to see you do their cover of American Pie featuring Don McClean (the originator of the song). I also think you would really enjoy their cover of Cam's song "Mayday"... they changed things up there a bit.
I love this. I'm a Home fry from the Netherlands. Have you listen to Home Free Born in the USA? Chance has the lead there and plays guitar. Something completely different than what you're used to.
not just the blood, but the blood of Jesus
Tim was a school teacher, he has seen the damage that bullying and racism can cause children.
He has zero tolerance.
I was at a concert that a "lady" started to go Karen with heckling... Tim shut her down in 20 seconds.
Love this one for Chance
I love Home Free's version of this beautiful song. They really brought out the emotion of it. Tim's lead is amazing with his deep bass. Also love Rob & Chance's solos plus the great harmonies. John Mayer has said it only took him 20 minutes to write this song. He just opened his mouth and it just came out. Honesty has a tendancy to do that. I love this rendition tho
I think Adam Rupp was also singing harmony while keeping the beat. Those five part harmonies sound so rich and full!
This is one of my favourite HF songs. Tim has a way of singing that makes you believe every word he sings
Adam Rupp is also singing whilst he doing his beat
I love Chance when he's in this part of his register, he sounds so good. This is a deep song and they make you feel the hurt in it.
What I love about Adam. He's insanely talented, but he doesn't flaunt it. He does what is needed. No more. No less.
Man these some humble human beings....You can tell each of these guys live what they sing about....proud home fry I am...👍💯🔥
I Can’t Outrun You really shows Chance’s voice 💜😊
DEFINITELY!! One of my favorites.
This and Yours are my favorite to point out for showing off Chance
John Mayer is a master songwriter 🤩 moving version from Home Free.
Another banger Nick. This is a John Mayer cover. He is such an awesome writer. Very deep lyrics & I agree with you about Chance, it's one of his prettiest - it's short but they nailed it having him do that section.
I agree
React to "slow dancing in burning room" by John Mayer
Home Free knows exactly how to get the most out of a song. This time was a case of "less is more" They don't put sounds where they don't belong! Adam Rupp is indeed providing the pulse BUT he’s also singing… the 5th voice enriches the chords I think!
Their harmonies are so full when Adam joins in!
Beautiful song by John Mayer. So much deep meaning in this text. John Mayer is a master of lyricism. I think this version is even better than the original. I love this one! The harmonies are so crunchy! 😊
Yes- Nick! I love what Tim and the boys stand for. Their meaningful songs fill my heart. I’m so happy you’re gonna see them! Let them know on their FB page or Twitter. Maybe you’ll get a backstage pass.

Blood is thicker than water!! Love the harmonies, just beautiful! Great reaction, as usual😮 I love Home Free😊
I don't know if you noticed, but as well as doing body percussion, Adam is also singing.
I had the absolute honor of being front row right in front of John Mayer whilst he sang In The Blood. He looked at me whilst singing and I had to hold in the tears. This song is so heartfelt and honest it hurts.
This is an outstanding cover.

Love this rendition ... appreciate it when Chance gets a solo ... his voice is so smooth and haunting .

Would love to see you react to Home Free ft Billy Gilman...One Voice. Very emotional
Their music just gets thru to the core of a person. I've watched quite a few reactors do Home Free just to see their awe of the talent these guys possess. You were one of the first for me and you haven't let me down for almost a year.

One of my favorite Home Free covers. Incredible lyrics; Home Free took this song to another level.
You are one of my favorite reactors to videos. You are so animated and have such a love a good music you’re a joy to watch plus you make me laugh a lot which I appreciate! But it’s not hard to be that way when you’re watching home free because they are so good!
Absolutely AGREE!
My favorite Home Free cover ever!
It’s a Beautiful Cover written & sung by John Mayer
This is one of my all time favorites of theirs...I cry more often than not and today was no exception
This is a favorite as it is deeply emotional and beautifully sung. Thanks for your reaction
This song is just gorgeous in general - but the harmonies... just wow...
This is so beautiful
Thank you for reacting! This is a favorite. It sounds almost haunting. It talks about family and do the bad habits follow us or can we wash them away. A Nature VS Nurture type of thing.
Exactly. Do we have a chance to change for the better, instead of perpetuating long standing hurtful behaviors?
I love this song. One of my favorites.♥️
I just love this one, the lyrics are so deep and the vocals are amazing as always....as is your reactions 😍
One of my favorites. He's singing my life.
This is another of my favorite Home Free songs. So very beautiful… and sad😔🐝❤️
Thank you, my favourite Home Free song
This is my favorite song of theirs.
I sincerely LOVE how passionate ThatSingerReacts about this kind of music. You would do the same thing as me with these songs brother, I pause them and rewind them as well lol. I've never heard this song, but I certainly have now, and am better for it. Thank-You TSR!
They took us to church.
Chance sounds amazing in this, but he takes the lead in "Cover Me Up" Amazing!
Tim hooked you up for a concert ??? Our Home Free guy's are the BEST !!!!! You are gonna go " Full Home Fry " there... You are gonna have a blast..
Thanks for this reaction.. This is one of my favorite Home Free songs.
They are so humble and talented. Thanks for the reaction and your time.
You are absolutely going to be blown away when you hear them live. Went to the Dallas concert last December. I was so star struck when they came on stage, I couldn't breathe! Really enjoyed your reaction today! Check out Helplessly Hoping. It's my all time favorite of their videos.
Look passed Adam when he is setting on the porch and there is the grass.
Great sound first time hearing this group, from Australia 🇦🇺👍
I hope Texas Hill will open for them, Live Dreamer was so good. I cried when Gospel Rob showed the blues depth of his soul
As many times as I've seen this...I too still get chills.
This song I feel has such a deep meaning but it's different for everyone who hears it. Love Home Frees version and in my opinion they upgraded it. Yep Tim is a great 👌 guy they all seem to be
I swear to everything good, I just want to jump through the screen a hug you! You are adorable and make me smile every single time I watch your reactions!
Love this group.. since you introduced them to me. Love harmonies.

Don't forget Cover Me Up. Perfection!
I sooooo love this song. I have an answer...It is always in the blood!

This is a wonderful reaction! Thank you! John Mayer wrote and recorded this song, it is also a wonderful version.
Okay, another one I just realized was tailor made for Chance's voice is Winter Song. That one has some AMAZING harmonies, as always. They all sound so good, but you just made me think of it when you mentioned Chance specifically
One of my favorite songs they've done. I also joined in on the reporting of that guy on Twitter 👍
Chills all over! Great reaction!! Thanks, Home Free 🥰😘
Austin and Billy Gilman doing One Voice will bring the good cry!
Rob was great in this one. Thanks for reacting.
You are going to LOVE the Home Free concert! Just a party with these five talented friends! For more Chance, Cover me up is a personal favorite!
One of my favorites, good reaction
I never heard this song before but I went to church today.
I've seen them twice live, and I would highly recommend seeing them if you get a chance. They're that good live.
Home Free & Kenny Rogers (children, go where I send thee)
Nick one of my top five Home Free covers.....or should I say enhancement.
It’s one of my favorites of theirs. It’s a cover of a John Mayer song. I love the lyrics too but I like HF’s version better than Mayer’s. Yes, their harmonies are so dang good. So glad you finally got to this one it is sooo goood thanks for the great reaction
I am surprised you have not reacted to Home Free with Avi (Pentatonix) in Ring of Fire
Tim and Chance have a very rich warm, Bobby Bass like bass.
More Home Free please! 🎶
Would love to see a reaction to Home Free doing 'Sold' or 'Elvira'
Please check out home free cover of “country roads take me home”
Another banger.
Tim is the man! Thank you for being a bad mofo yourself, sir! ❤
I can't wait to see the vlog and your reaction to seeing them live.
I'm going to see them in Cincinnati too!!!!!
I have this thing I do before I listen to a cover, especially if home free are doing it and I haven't heard the original. I'll go and watch/ listen to the original first. One of my HF favorites! BTW... did you see that Geoff Castellucci released a new one? It's a gorgeous version of Shenandoah.
I really be wantin him to hold those “comin to yall👉🏾” 2 seconds longer
Lmao

Have you heard them do Blue Ain't Your Color?
Yeah I think that's the first video that got blocked and is on my patreon
This is a cover by John Mayer.
