I would love to see kai train maybe a retired bodybuilder or someone who maybe isn't looking to go pro like a lot of these kids are. someone who's older, a little more beat up, but still enjoys overcoming the challenges of pushing through the pain, maintaining discipline, looking great, but wants to work around injuries and find new ways to train smarter and maintain a physique over their years, and keep that challenge going.
So far of all the videos I've watched of Kai train he isn't the typical smashing heavy weights around bodybuilder who performs half reps with almost every exercise. He trains every muscle in the body with a purpose of movement first and not worried about impressing the gym goers with how much he can lift. It's not about strength in bodybuilding and many don't get that.
Some real expert bodybuilding instruction here, form truly follows function for bodybuilding. It's about shaping the muscle not just moving weight, a concept that many of us do not learn til' much later.

The key is mind contraction to the muscle contraction. Yes, it doesn't matter what the weight, the key is the movement done correctly, and try do it with 20 reps, that muscle should pump as hell. That why he is so buff and cut. The intelligence of bodybuilding movements.
When I started this job site, I discovered they had a full free gym that's open 24/7. Excited, I dove in, only to find out I could only do 10 reps of 135lbs bench. Embarrassed and depressed, I knew I had to dig deep to fix it. Embarrassed again, i started working out with 115lbs. Big regulars grinning and shit, I knew I had to ignore it. 4 months of constancy, I maxed a new PR yesterday 245lbs bench. Getting out of ur comfort zone and getting ur mind right is a must, sometimes u gotta use very lightweight to make it work.
Kai's very intelligent. I'd like to hear him speaking on topics outside of training or bodybuilding. Maybe he doesn't know anything else, but he's definitely a mindful dude that can learn anything for sure.

The first time I ever saw Kai was in a pre contest interview where he and Phil Heath had a bit of a bickering match and, honestly, thought he was a dickhead. Since then, I've seen him elsewhere, this video series being one of the places, and my thoughts about him have completely changed. I actually like the way he approaches training and life in general. I have an enormous amount of respect for him and am disappointed that he's not trying for the Mr. O win anymore. With that said, I hope he does well with everything he does post bodybuilding competition.

MICHAEL FRUGE JR same here. I usually chew gum after the hard parts though. So today I did back, and biceps, and I didn’t start chewing gum till I started biceps. For some reason chewing gum at the end kind’ve gives me a boost, and I’m able to work out longer. Lol
