The Valk backstory is an outlier but in general they trend pretty well.
This was a treat - can't imagine the amount of time/effort it took to compile and rationalize all of this...
The lore already lines up pretty well, the writers and narrative teams did a good job with that. The issue is finding all the information stretched out among ship brochures, jump point articles, website lore posts, and galactapedia entries.
@@TheAstroHistorianYeah but at this point you’re a walking galactapedia. At least personally when you enjoy something the level of “useless” info retention can shock some people lol. Not to downplay it but I imagine it would take far more effort for others lol.

I think a way for CIG to make money after release would be to sell conversion kits for all these old ship designs. Apply them to their closest analog/descendent ship for an hull swap and a retro themed interior. Would be pretty sweet having a Zeus Mk. II that looks like the original Mk. I, etc. would add variety to ship design while reducing balancing costs.

I knew there was something about Anvil Ships that was different turns out it's because they are designed by engineers not businesses trying to cut corners and earn a bit extra here and there.

@TheAstroHistorian 1 - I seriously hope that you understood and chose to ignore the reference. If not, I'm not sure we can be friends... 2 - I categorically disagree. The tools/tactics of war, the names involved, the win conditions, the ultimate scope, they all change, but the underlying human experience of the word War does not. Even with the introduction of species not native to earth, the human practice of War is the same as when the tools were made of wood and stone.

If only the lore matched the ships we have.
The F8C is heavily outmaneuvered by a F7C.
The F7C MKII is slightly outmaneuvered by the F7C MKI.
While I've never tried fighting in a gladiator, I have yet to hear of anyone using one for it's intended purpose.
Note I'm not calling for the ships to be buffed, just that the lore descriptions don't fit with the ships we have, or even the announced planned changes to those ships.

I look forward to the lore content that you put out. We need a ground exploration vehicle that has a living quarters. The anvil spartan is big enough to where the rear compartment could be turned into an exploration vehicle that could be a sparse living quarters with the ability to bed log with. Just a suggestion.
