Graduated Sabalauski Airassault School in winter of 1997. We trained on the old tower without an awning so the tower was slick with ice while our faces were pelted with sleet & rain during tower training. Airassault School was much tougher mentally, physically and emotionally than Airborne school was for me. Civilian life sucks exponentially. Stay in the Army as long as possible Soldiers!
We actually had the tough one at basic training at Fort Sill. I actually did ok on most of it (I sprained my ankle on my way down the rope ladder after losing my grip on the rope halfway down).
Wow they found a female who can climb the rope they must have done a lot of auditioning. I'm not being sexist it's real. Go to Air assault school and watch 95% of women fail at the rope climb. Ps. Bring 2 belts Trust me Don't ask why just remember bring 2 belts A 3rd if you want to make $20
The Weaver was the most physically intense obstacle to me.
Yes it is

I can't believe she actually stood straight up on that beam at the top of the incline.

The "tough one" wasnt tough.. go through the weaver a few times. My black hat sent us through a few times.
Every tough one I’ve been one has a rope down not a cargo net.
I thought you couldn't use/touch the bottom beam?
Yes you can as seen and stated
How thick is that rope? I’m going in June 😬
I just did it today. It’s pretty thick. Do you use the s-wrap or j-hook
Yea I would like to know this as well, also better at the S for me couldn’t get the hang of j-hook
@@andynguyen446 i just did it last Thursday. It’s pretty thick so if you do the s-hook, you shouldn’t be slipping off
How tall is the rope climb
It ain’t that tall. What brigade you in ?
Like 10-15 feet for the climb up, 25 ft down 8 think

Actually in my class we had only 2 girls out of like 20 fail the rope climb.it’s more technique than strength to climb it
