Yes. There is a genuine, or authentic character. But like everyone, there must be some sort of plasticity when in public, especially more so for people with "star" status of Hanyu and Shoma. I hope they just have fun and enjoy each others company while it is available.

Yuzuru is like that very fun and supportive older brother to Shoma. I also notice that I see Shoma smile more whenever he's around Yuzu than when he's by himself

I guess Yuzu's love and respect for Shoma and Yuma comes from the treatment he got from his seniors and he makes sure his juniors never get to feel that 👏👏👏
This was exactly what I thought too. He is a genuinely sensitive and kind person and knowing full well how bad was it for him, he makes a lot of effort to prevent that for the next generation. Probably hoping they will follow his path too. 🤞

Daisuke seemingly didn't do anything to stop it and I didn't hear that even after the event he said something about it. Look up the victory ceremony footage of Yuzu getting his first gold as senior. FS was and is no different from other sports, "psychological warfare" is real and even though Yuzu tried to lead with example and be extremely friendly and show fair and real sportsmanship, I don't know how much of his legacy is respected nowadays. There are certainly skaters who visibly follow his path in attitude but there are also others who just want to bring back rivalry because probably they think it sells better. 🤷
Yuzu's such a sweet person how can you not smile when he's around. They're both so cute. They played so well in Beijing 2020 I'm so proud of them. Props to these talented cute boys

Nope he won't. Don't worry. There were times when Shoma said he didn't feel any burden because it belongs to Yuzu. But now it's the other way around. Yuzu has achieved everything he has to except 1 last thing and I think he will do it for himself. Now the responsibility to the country is in Shoma's shoulder. The second tier is ready as well to back SU up (Yuma).
They basically grow up on the ice rink together. For an older brother, being lost to the younger one is much better than to others. Just two cutie pies. Now innocent Yuma is coming, too 😊
When he was looking at the monitor to view Shoma's results, he looked like the monitor personally offended him. XDD Honestly, I love how supportive they are of one another and that brotherly vibe they have is just wholesome!

Actually yuzuru can get the bronze or the silver or even the gold if he didn't sustained injury during the practice and didn't try the 4A quad but its yuzuru decision what he do so yeah..

Since Yuzu's recent announcement I guess there will be no more podium to share. 🙂 But hopefully Yuzu will have more freedom and time to heal from all his injuries properly.
Agree , have alot of cute japanese athletes:yuzuru hanyu , shoma , shohei ohtani(baseball) , Ran takahashi(volleyball), Minamino(football) , hiroki abe(football) , etc... And girls athletes are very cutes too.
Was it his senpai or his senpai's crazy fans? For example, Daisuke Takashi who was Yuzuru's senpai and very popular was really nice to him but I believe many Daisuke fans hated his early success and made him cry. Then Yuzuru was also getting a fanbase and it was more like fan wars with the athletes having nothing to do with it. Yuzuru also said that Daisuke was someone he will always look up to. Those "antis" are just psychos.
