What an awesome breakdown. I’ll just say however that hitting the highlights deprives the viewer of MaxRo’s nifty connecting graphics, in this case Yuzu joyfully skidding on his butt in the middle of a weird spiral thingy. MaxRo’s connecting graphics are genius. But otherwise, thanks for your hard work!

Same! I only found out about him a couple days ago because I gave up on male figure skating decades ago and focused only on the women and couples. Had I known he came into the picture with more than the typical male skate fast, skate fast, power jump moves I'd have been back aaaaages ago.

you can still watch him in tons of shows where he will probably have more freedom as to what to do and not "do x amounts of jumps" and he'll probably be able to make his ice show his main b*tch, conveying all the emotions of the song even better than at any competitive event.
also ISU can suck its ass for how they treated him

This guy is charismatic. The first time I saw him walking out with staffs on TV, he didn't do anything, just walking and smile, I was like "I like this boy". Then after watching his performance, although I didn't really understand figure skating, I was still mesmerized.

how old is he? also why did he retire ?
He is 28 years old and he retired cause he already achieved every price and medal there is in competitive figure skating, that plus he was being mistreated by the ISU (international skating union) 😒 even though he gave so much to the sport and made it more popular around the world. So he decided to go pro and now he has his own skating shows which are very very popular cause you literally have to get a ticket through lottery and there is so much demand that it's hard to get one. Soon he is going to have a show in the Tokyo dome on February for more than 50k people 😌😙( the first one man skating show done in there).
I have watched that lift so many times, all because of that adorable "aaaah" he does while striking a pose. It's too much cuteness!
He is so graceful, majestic, ethereal, his beauty is comparable to snow.
His voice is so soft and kind when he speaks, like a prince but when he gets on the skating rink, he becomes a king who commands..
