Fab-u-lous! ❤❤
❤️❤️❤️❤️ thanks bro
A vocal is a "Lead". A "Lead" is your main melody. A vocal is almost always your lead melody. The instrumental "lead" sound is simply a counter melody to your vocal, OR, if the vocal cuts out, then your synth melody then becomes your lead. Nice vid
that's it!!!! you got it 100% there

such a useful video!! love the explanations and examples
Glad you think so Adina!
I often start a track without having the idea if I want to have a lead or not, it somehow depends on the vibes of the song and the feeling it produces when im listening.
Never actually though about analyzing and disecting it in to different "Categorys" but I think this comes in very handy ,enhances the toolbox and having a better overview over it 🤔 Thanks for the nice input and the effort to categorize these different approaches! 🙏
Exactly!! and to me this was really helpful to understand these different approaches and put them in practice!
amazing video, thanks Leo!

Leads and chord progressions for me is so fun. I pick a key throw on a simple 909 kick pattern and just jam on a keyboard for a couple of hundred bars while recording the midi, If I'm not feeling it, I'll change from minor to major or try a few different keys until I find what I'm in the mood for.
that's the way.. but making this video helped understand other ways to jam with!!!
Glad you liked it man!

Thanks so much Leo for the tutorial. I'll be definitely using these techniques to improve my songwriting workflow. I'm just curious what guitar you used at 3:00? :D it sounds so clean and natural. Cheers!
No no, that's from the original song, not from the midi!
@@AbstraktMusicLab ohh haha okayy
Its my old charvel, my first guitar i got 20 years ago 😁
Hi love your channel. Is there any way we could get the midi clips that you are showcasing?
Hey Dark! Some of them are already in my channel and you can already find them there. Which one are you looking for?
@@AbstraktMusicLab Thanks for answering. If it's possible to download all the midi examples you used in this video, it's great to work along side your tutorials and it's quicker if I can paste in the midi rather than having to put them all in manually.
9:28 thank you your helping us 🙏🏼😊
How did you make this plucky sound ? 🙈😅
That was made on Serum. Simple sawtooth with a 24 high cut (low pass) filter

Thank you for the outstanding content as always!! I would die for a remake of the bass from kasst - leaving earth.. it's so fat and wide, just cant get it right haha. All the best and have a nice day:)
Feels like it's a bass with a bit more layers yeah. Gotta check it out! I have to start doing the sound design videos again, but I have to redo the format of them somehow. Thanks for the comment though
