i love how you make it simple to understand unlike other channels that complicate things just to sound professional absolutely would love a dive into music theory!
Probably a little late but would definitely love a melodic house music theory video! And a series would be incredible! Great video btw! Great stuff Leo!
I like playing sets that start out with Afro house, and move into melodic house and Indie Dance. I try to find tracks that despite being different genre, play well together. Afro house that sounds melodic and allows me to start the set off more chill. Maybe two tracks of Afro house. Then creating some variation on intensity and vibes by mixing melodic house with indie dance that have commitment each other sonically. I think the type of of tracks I gravitate to through these genres can work really well together.
Really good and useful tips as always Leo 👏🏻 If you allow me a couple more: 1- when using vocals, pay attention to the lyrics and its message. I've seen lots of songs ruined by choosing an unappropriate chord progression (e.g a song talking about a new love mustn't use depressing chords/scales/modes). Remember Vivaldi's 4 seasons, and why winter sounds depressing while you can feel the joy on spring or summer. 2- to make your story more immersive, use ear candys or atmospheres which evokes whatever you want to. E.g. if your song is about forest, try to use bird chants looped in the background. I've heard big anthems using dolphins, whales, volcano sounds matching the theme, and this makes the extra.
Hey would you be able to do a tutorial/recreation of some of the sounds fabrication uses in the track dust pig please. His music is creative n I wouldn’t know where to start 😢
My favorite artists as well! you can watch analysis of Ben Bohmer, Tinlicker and Lane 8 here in the channel Don't forget to join our Discord Channel abstraktmusiclab.com/discord
