Hi Nitesh. Happy New Year 😊 Lavender and Cedarwood is a lovely, relaxing, earthy blend. I use it in my soaping too. Highly recommend it 😊 Peppermint, Eucalyptus and Lavender is a lovely fresh and soothing blend too 😊 I'll add a blends ideas video to my list for the spring. Enjoy your making. Let me know what scents you try 🤗
@@makersnotebook heyy. So lovely oh you too reply. Wish you a very happy new year too. Whats your name though. Thanks for the blends, I'll give it a try. Also does following the 3 notes helps?
Notes help to create a balanced, complex blend...but sometimes simplicity works just fine too. Natural diffusers are lovely, but can become very expensive very quickly depending on how many oils you use. Lavender is top/middle and Cedarwood is a base note. So this is a simple blend, but it still balances beautifully 😍 Peppermint is a top note, Eucalyptus is top/middle and Lavender is top/middle. So the heart of the blend is there but it's also on the fresh side. It works beautifully on it's own but if you want a base note then cedarwood also works well in this combination. It will have a more woodsy feel in with the freshness if you add the cedarwood 😊 If you want to test the blends before you make them. Get a cotton wool pad. (Use a separate pad for each oil) and put a drop or two of oil on the pad. So one pad for lavender, one pad for cedarwood etc. Then you can layer the pads together to get an idea for how each blend will work before you make your big batch. Just to be sure you like it first 😊👍 Hope this helps too 😊
@@nitesh17101 Oh thank you so much ❤ That's so kind of you🤗 it's made my day🥰 ...and yes, I can definitely promise lots more videos this year 😊 Have a fantastic week 😀
Hi Nitesh. Yes, you can use grapeseed oil as an alternative carrier 😊 The time the recipe lasts will vary depending on how many reeds you use and where you place the diffuser. I've got mine in my kitchen and I've used 50 grams and five reeds. I'm expecting it to last into mid January and then I have two bottles to gift or to use after this evaporates. My kitchen is small. In a larger space I'd need to use more reeds for a stronger smell, but this would also increase the evaporation rate. So the 150gm would typically last around four to five months in my kitchen. Hope this helps 😊
Is the ratio 50%??? Someone told me 5 to 10%. I made using 10% but it's not smelling at all. I also put alcohol in it. Still no help. Pls help and share your experiences. I love essential oils but unable to make them in reeds
Nitesh thank you so much for watching and for your lovely question. Don't worry, let's get this sorted for you😊 10% essential oil is a low ratio for a reed diffuser, especially in an all natural oil base. The smell is extremely subtle using this mix, even in a tiny room. Even a synthetic base would normally use a greater ratio of fragrance than this, but for an oil base you need an even higher percentage of essential oil. Are you just using peppermint oil? Add another 40 grams of peppermint oil to the mix you've made and stir it in for two minutes to combine it. This should fix it. You'll find the smell will get stronger after the oil has had a chance to travel up the reeds. Turn the reeds over tomorrow and that will also help to diffuse the smell 😊 Enjoy your making 😊
@@makersnotebook Hi there, thanks for the detailed reply. So 100gm grape seed and 50gm essential oil is the recommended blend for bedroom use? I'll try it tomo and update you. And yeah I was excited lol
Thank you so much 🥰. Yes, 15 drops would definitely not be enough for this. Thanks again for watching. It always makes me happy to know that something I've made has been useful or happy 😊
