Great Video. I would have been toast without it. At 4:00 you talk about mounting the control box with the Humminbird logo pointing out. My control box has a Humminbird logo on both sides???
What length is the Ultrex shaft in this video? (I might have missed it). I did catch the transducer has to be submerged 6" & at least 1" above the prop.
GUYS BE SURE IF YOU ADD A STABILIZER YOU KEEP THE TARGET LOCK SIDE SLIGHTLY LOOSER...IF ITS TOO TIGHT YOUR SYSTEM WILL PROMPT THE MEGA LIVE MOTOR STOP FOR DAMAGE MESSAGE...IF THAT POPS UP...LOOSEN STABILIZER AND RESTART CALIBRATION PROCESS...IT WILL CLEAR ONCE THE RESTRICTION IS BETTER IN SHAFT MOVEMENT...HOPE THIS HELPS
I have produced training videos (dog training videos) for 41 years and this video gets an "F" for teaching us how to install the target lock. I bought the target lock last fall (2022) and the documentation on how to properly align the target lock is terrible - I got pissed and quit as it was the end of the fishing season in WI - this video was not available then - but this video does not do a decent job explaining head alignment. the instructor goes so fast and doesn't explain how to align the head - obviously he knows the product - but obviously he is not a teacher - he doesnt know how to break down the install into component part and then explain them SLOWLY - he may be a radio commentator - not a teacher. Do I sound frustrated? Hell yes - I spent a lot of money on the mega live and target lock. I expect better for Humminbird. I cant count how many head un ites I have bought since 2011 - A LOT. Humminbird needs to redo this video - take the time it takes to do a good job. I walked away from the install last November because I was so frustrated. We just just our ice on the lakes so I will kick at the cat again. But not with any help from tbhis video. At 7Mn 4 Second in this video. - what the heck is he talking ab out - why not show a picture - or slow motion video on what he is talking about - rather than a reprint from the manual (which doesnt explain it either) Not everyone that buys is is an engineer. I took Mega Live to Canada last fall and LOVED IT. I cannot say enough a bout it. Thats why I bought Target Lock. COME ON HUMMINBIRD - STEP UP AND REDO THIS VIDEO.

It's easy once to hold control box to side of unit you'll see where the wires seem more logical for hook up
Why not show where your plugging your power wires too? Do you have a panel that will look good that can be prewired to the boat?
The power wires to mega live plugging to target lock go directly to another battery source...I use a 100ah battery for all electronics

Youll be fine...I have the 45 inch and worked out perfectly
