There's a company called glovebreaker just up the road from me, the guy breaks in gloves professionally. An employee of his told me that if my son breaks in his new 44 to wear traditional it could ONLY be a single hinge. That's not right is it?
I wouldn’t say only single hinge, but wearing gloves traditionally makes it very difficult to form 2 hinges without extra work and focus on the thumb hinge. With enough work on it, 2 hinges can be formed without any bubbles or creases
I would say it depends on what size and style 44 you have. My son's 12.5 inch outfield glove was shaped for single hinge, even though his break-in was two-pinky, it only wants to close thumb to middle finger, at most. My youngest got a 12 inch infield and it will close double-hinge but thumb to ring-finger at best. I got an 11.5 infield, and the pocket is noticeably wider than either the others and has a good double-hinge close with easy thumb to pinky. I helped them both with break-in, using same techniques, it is just different shapes in the glove.
(Sorry for being late, just came back from school)Buckler gloves are very nice, they are very chill, and i love how they feel when you wear them. The tan with white welting looks amazing. Thanks for showing a good blove break in technique! For some reason i tried to buy member didnt work...
In need of some help. My son and I just got new 44 C2’s. We have been working on break in for a few days and it’s very slow going. Any tips? We did “normal break” in from factory but it seems like it will take forever! Thanks!
Hi I’m looking to buy an all around glove just to have a catch and practice with my two boys, they are currently in tball age 4 and 6. Was looking at Rawlings r9 or gold glove elite from dicks. Any thoughts on size? Or any other models? Thanks

Imo both will last you a good chunk of time it’s more or so down to budget and how long you need the glove to break in HoH takes less time from what I heard
This man loves baseball and it shows. So cool to see.
I will definitely do the deeper pocket movement when i get an outfielder glove for my birthday
That Buckler is insane!! 🤩
Loving the bucklers
I use a baseball and put it in the pocket and then hammer it with a 12 pound weight to form the pocket

I find that it is true. Anytime I try traditional it always ends up single hinge. Maybe I’m juts squeezing wrong though
No
