I've always loved the old International K & KB series trucks. I had a 46 project for a while that I was going to put on a S10 frame, but a relative decided the take it halfway apart to help me and a lot of the parts were lost and I ended up just letting it go.
Back in the early 80s i was a young lad enjoying playing round with cars namely a gutless little 4 cylinder British Ford delivery van thing. Over the fence at the place i lived was a very elderly gent with his lovely original International pickup very similar to the featured here other than it was completely original and well looked after. i would talk to him about it & learned its history, he'd had it since new. If i saw him driving it i'd wave madly at him & over time that old pickup just looked better every time my eyes saw it... the old guy never minded me asking about him and it. This was the pattern for 5 years but suddenly one day it dawned on me i'd not seen the old truck across the fence in his backyard for ages. I plucked up some courage and went to the house, met his wife who knew of me and told me her husband had passed and the nice men at the wrecking yard a few blocks away came took that nasty old truck away..... for free!
Oh, no :O What a nightmare. Hopefully, the wrecking yard guys just said that to get it for free, and then took good care of it for many years thereafter.......it never hurts to hope.
Hello Uncle Doug, The big "I" is looking tough, I like it all, especially the wind shield. Great job on the grill by the way. The Hot Rod channel is a lot of fun to check out. A frosty 26 degrees this morning, late morning clouds but still very cold, upper 30's to low 40's. I'm doing good, hope you and yours are too. All the best, C
Greetings, Cass. Glad you like the International. I sold it about a year ago to a local fellow who takes it to all the car shows, reminding me of why I shouldn't have sold it ;)

Hello Uncle Doug. New subscriber here. This new channel of yours is truly awesome. Thank you very much. This truck is mean! And with a lovely tone indeed. What a beast, it has as much steel as a today's a dozen cars together!!! All the best.
Hi Uncle Doug, I really like your new channel. Almost as much fun to watch as your other channel which is probably my favorite on UA-cam. Although I'm usually not an old car enthusiast, I'm fascinated by what you are doing, and I think you do beautiful work. Thanks for sharing. :-)
Congratulations Uncle Doug, great channel! Wonderful pickup truck. I also liked your latest Super Reverb video. I’m working on a couple of them at this time so it’s been helpful, thanks for sharing your knowledge!
