Really related to your conversation about your cycle. I agree that while it can be super difficult to experience our moods and mindset changing so wildly in month, there are some beautiful parts that I wouldn't want to miss entirely. Hoping we both figure out how to ride the waves with a bit more peace.
Lucy you are so articulate, I think you speak about things in such a satisfying way. You almost say all that needed to be said and it's so calming, I love your videos
Some books which I think are really great for when life is a bit rough and you want something safe and soft: - “Wintering” by Katherine May - “The Anthropocene Reviewed” by John Green - “Beyond the wand” by Tom Felton
loved this video!! just grabbed my journal to do some writing before bed, thanks for inspiring and keeping it real in this video. it really does make me enjoy contend more, when i feel like the other person is also human, haha. thank you for the cozy vibe!
I loved this, i dont know how watching you at your most chaotic is STILL relaxing to me 😂 really enjoy your infiltered thoughts on your unique every day life 🥰
I loved this chatty video so much. We have moved into a bungalow with a bright blue and 60s bathroom suite - it might sound retro and cool, but it is not, it's such a mess and it smells. Haha. So solidarity with the blue bathroom. Sending love xoxo
really enjoyed this - as someone with bipolar type ii im on antipsychotics and a low dose of antidepressants which has been an absolute game changer for my mental health - can totally relate to the perks of hypomania tho
I sometimes have trouble sleeping, and the Headspace sleepcasts are life-changing! The stories are so lovely. The sleep music has helped too. I sleep with a partner, so I use sleep headphones to not disturb him.
You didn’t ask for advice but your experience with hormonal fluctuations sounds similar to mine. I was diagnosed with PMDD over a year ago and I've been on the mini-pill to help my symptoms ever since and it's been really good. I understand your worries about adjusting to going off a pill to have kids though. But I think the hormonal changes from being pregnant could be tough on the PMDD anyway regardless of whether you go on a mini-pill or other between now and then. That's something you can discuss with your doctor. A combination of the mini pill and therapy could help you deal with the psychological symptoms best? Going to the doctor with the NHS list of PMDD symptoms with the ones I have circled and telling the doctor that I think I have it really helped me to advocate for myself. I really wish you the best because PMDD is very real and very awful.
Additional advice for dealing with doctors when you have chronic issues: keep a symptoms diary. It can be super simple, but if you have your symptoms laid out over the course of a month+ your chance of getting through and getting help really increases
Not as familiar with the NHS, but if you can getting hormon tests could be helpful in starting to understand where youre symptoms come from. Molly Burke did a great video recently on her own hormone journey that could provide some potential paths forward.
Thankyou so much for sharing this video! It's so great to hear you open up so honestly, hormones really affect us and I'm happy you're joining the discussion! I was on the combined pill and it worked for over 5 years, but with hitting my 20s it started to not be as effective at managing hormones, I'm now on the implant and my hormones are a lot more stable :))
Hello Lucy, hope counseling helps you ! I personally have seen amazing progress with SSRIs (and therapy), its frustrating to me that SSRIs are said to make you "flat", my life is everything but flat, the lows are just not as low, i feel MORE like myself :)
Hi Lucy! I struggle with PMDD which sounds really similar to what you’re experiencing, and after seeing a functional medicine doctor have have found that taking magnesium supplements at relatively high doses and nightly during my more manic days really helps my anxiety and sleep. Not sure if this would help you or anyone but just thought I’d share! After doing a lot of reading I’ve found there’s not very many answers or helpful dialogue around PMDD at the moment.
I feel like what you’re coming to terms with is that you likely have a chronic illness and the thing about chronic illnesses is that you won’t be able to fix the underlying cause. Accepting that isn’t a defeat it’s the way forward, it will make your life so much better
Hi Lucy! If you're able, I think an endocrinologist may be able to help pinpoint your hormonal root causes and understand what's going on. I will say, I am in the US and don't know how it works with seeing specialists in the UK. But I have hormonal issues and an endocrinologist has been massively helpful.
Hey Lucy :) Unfortunately the NHS does have its limitations when it comes to the nuances of the female cycle and hormonal issues... a naturopath or kinesiologist are likely your best bets for getting to the 'root cause' of your issues and making some meaningful, life-changing improvements :) The pill will only mask your symptoms without doing anything for the underlying causes, so your instincts about staying off the pill in this phase of life are very wise!
Did notice u put the washing cream with your cloth together .. that might cause a hard stain on the cloth .. I’m sure there’s an opening for washing cream on your Machine .. I enjoy watching your vids Lucy…
Hi Lucy, I am wondering about sth. You mentioned before that you were unsure about wanting to have baby. But now you mentioned conceiving and trying. I am curious about your journey in making up your mind about this. And I think it would be helpful for many as well. Perhaps make a UA-cam about it? Sit in chit chat video about this would be very very helpful. Thanks!
i wish you did a bit more research about organic basics. they were bought by delta galil two years ago, so a lot of people (myself included) won't support them anymore. i wouldn't consider that an ethical company, so that's really disappointing. that's not "good energy" 😬
Have you tried consulting a naturopath? It really changed my life. I struggle for a long time with doctors not understanding my condition. The naturopath concentrates on diet and natural remedies. I was super sceptical but I swear by mine now !
Sorry but this title is so misleading you literally don’t have a 9-5 you’re an influencer 😂 you could’ve just called this your evening routine or whatever .. but I guess that doesn’t get picked up by the algorithm as much as calling it a “5-9 after your 9-5”
Exactly, I clicked expecting something else. I stopped watching when she mentioned she has used her working day checking how to decorate her living room... Not very relatable :(

There's a supplement called Women's Best Friend that worked for me to ease mood swings and cramps. That and increasing my water and greens intake.
Inspiring me to journal!!!💗

I also take magnesium for my PMDD but I haven't noticed a difference. My dose might be too low though
The coziest channel to exist. Thank you Miss Lucy Moon 🥰
I've been using Headspace for nearly 10 years and love it! Lovely vlog, as always!
we have been blessed with that app 🤍
I’ve been loving my organic basics clothes too! You’re right they are really soft ❤

(In Australia) in winter we use a big dehumidifier to help heat small spaces and keep the mould under control. Love your content ❤

hey lucy, have you looked into pmdd? you may want to with the drastic shifts in your cycle. :)

I’d push to see a psychologist or psychiatrist honey. Continue to try to take care of yourself because you make some very solid points re the pill
