If a game is gonna have something that in every way shape or form irl is inhumane, then they should treat it with levity instead of “oh haha catching humans go brr” You can kill hookers in GTA because you aren’t the good person in that scenario, you’re outright breaking the law, that’s one step further into crime You can kill people in Undertale- you don’t have to, and there’s options to pacify your foes, but you CAN. This isn’t murder, it’s forced servitude where the game treats it less as a bad thing and more as a little joke, that’s what rubs me the wrong way

If a fictional game can "rub you the wrong way", it's more of a you problem and you probably are just online too much. The merchants don't have guns, but the bandits, and some others do, and if u put them in your base they will help defend during base raids, that's when you'll see them use their guns
In place of the Pal's Ability, the Humans should have a Single Equipment Slot that you can Assign a Weapon or Tool To: Certain Tools should Grant Additional Base Skills (Pickaxe adds Mining Lv2, for Instance), with Stronger Versions either Increasing Work Speed or Granting Higher Levels of the Skill; while Weapons like Firearms Provide that for Usage in Combat, to either Defend a Base, or Not be Useless in your Party...
Honestly, i would just be happy if you could give them a weapon. I dont even need them to have an ability. I dont expect humans to be a mainline pal, i just wanna form the Human Liberation Front lol

I have only ever had a wandering merchant appear at my base once at the start so I theorize that you are meant to craft some spheres and set up a base and when he appears the devs actually intend that you capture him to make it easier to buy bones and other harder to gather stuff. he spawned as level 3 for me so totally doable at the start.

Putting a caught merchant in your vase you can buy and sell from them. But if the merchant is in your team you cannot. Do they sell better stuff if you upgrade them in the pal condensation machine??
yea for some reason after you catch the humans all they can do is punch for some reason, i caught a "crusher" yesterday which was a fat guy with a giant minigun.... which he dosent even use X'D hoping they will change that. and for some reason when i throw the humans out, all i can see is their gun and hands, its like a floating gun walking around lmfao, same thing for my friends, super weird.
For those who havent.. Dont attack those PIDF guards unless your ready for war or death....orrr alot of running. And teleporting doesnt get rid of them. So approach with caution.. if you decide to kill them just know stronger ones are definitely on the way and they are way stronger each time. You have been warned.
the game should have multiple human npc merchant..imagime u caught female human and u sell it at brothel traders. or male human at slave traders or sell them at organs traders.
Use a snare trap to lift the merchant off the ground then place a campfire underneath them to lower their health once they have low enough health break the snare and campfire get behind the merchant and throw pal spheres at them
I simply need a merchant lol, the starting one disappeared, the few humans I caught are lame at the base, and the cats are plenty enough money if you put them in the farm. But I found a guy who gives you pizza, and I tried to catch him thinking I could get more pizza later, and he spawned a guard and destroyed me lol.

I'm confused I tried this in the beginning of the game on a lady that was sitting in the fireplace at my spawn she had a shotgun it's something told me to just do it for the hell of it I wanted the killer to get the shotgun what does something say try and catch her and I did with a regular ball but she's nowhere in my inventory now and she never respond back

Theres so many things you can do with palworld, it’s awesome.

A encountered a small settlement and the guard there killed 2/3 of the villagers, decided to catch the last one to keep them safe

I did what you did and the guards followed me even in the dungeon but I lost them when they couldn't see me since they were stuck
