The bass is trembling with resonance and power, I love it!
Gourd-geous. Love the slow pace. Magnificent banjo too.
God-geous could work too. Clever wording!
One of the finest sounds I've heard on a banjo andI've played quite a few.
Wow. I’ve never heard such a warm, homely sound from an instrument before. Excellently played too, I might add.
Words are inadequate to describe how good this is!
If you listen carefully between beats you can hear my jaw hitting the floor. MUCH respect from someone who thought he knew how to play banjo.
My baby girl love this piece. It mellows her out.
This is beautiful & warm. New banjo player in MD here!
Thank you for sharing! Very nice. 👍🏻
Great tune❤
The tune is a cousin to Red River Valley. Well done!
Very soothing.
GBeautiful rendition from a fine player. Shows how good simple uncluttered music can be.
Listening on our way to a gig in Orono-perfect music. 🌲
Wonderful, truly wonderful
Most excellent and beautiful. Blessed to be listening. Thank you.
Beautiful
Wonderful!
I like your B part a lot. Most folks play it crooked, which is also cool. Sweet slow groove. Thanks for posting it.
Beautiful sound!
Enjoy your music very much. Keep up the good work.... (from Fairbanks,Alaska)
so nice Brad, God Bless you
i listen to this on a regular basis so thank you
Exceptional
A truly unique sound
love the booming sound you get out of the low notes here. Is this the large flat 10-12inch version?
awesome dude!
That is great. And I like a banjo I can listen to when I have a head cold.
Master Class... classy Brad.
I love your version
I would by a recording of this if it were out there. You should think about it.
wow!
Perfect playing Brad! Hi to your Dad for me :)
sweetjob
That was awesome!
What is the tuning? This is really sublime and I’m so glad of the moderate tempo! And what a cello-like sound. Wooo-hooo!😅❤
Banjo tuning is dGDGA. Thanks!
@@bradkolodnermusic Awesome, thank you so much. I'm on it.👍
love!!!!!!
Marvellous
I'd have probably shaved that gourd down some to get a bigger head out of it, but it sounds glorious.
Outstanding Tone & execution, what kind of strings are preferred??? Nylon or Steel ?
Nylon! The fourth string is wound.
The fretless gourd banjo is really just an Americanized version of the West African akonting.
..oh, where did you get the gourd banjo?
Pete Ross
Reminds one of Seth lakeman
Brad, what is your tuning? I know low string is a G, 5th is D, 1st is D?, 2nd is A?, 3rd is D? All down an ocatve. Nice rich sound.
5th D, 4th G, 3rd D, 2nd G, 1st A - Standard double C tuning but tuned down to double G
@@eleshiacatherine Thanks. I play a lot of double C now. One of my favorites is Brad's Julianne Johnson.
