- Eight-year-old black bear Cubby took on the role of mentor and father to Takoda, an orphaned black bear cub rescued in Montana. Watch the video to see the two and how they have bonded at the zoo.
Takoda found a family and Cubby found new joy in life. What a perfect addition to the black bear group.
I agree.
It's rare to see male bears look after their cubs.
Well and another fun fact: actually it's the Lioness that raise up the cubs not the Male Lion
Bears, Wolfs, Dogs are not good fathers.
And have a confrontational stint with their offsprings.
@@DC-zi6senot true on wolves but the rest of them yeah
@@DC-zi6sedogs don't have any way to know when pups are theirs
@@DC-zi6se what the fuck are you talking about? A lot of dogs and wolves are good dads
what a wonderful story... Cubby seems to love playing with Takoda. Thank you for providing this beautiful bear a home :)
Only 6,000 views since 2011?? This video deserves way more!
I just love this video. I watch it over and over because you see all the love and care there. Sometimes we can learn from the animals too.
I don't know that it is a result of living in a zoo that has altered how Cubby behaves from what we think is normal for a wild male black bear.
Over and over what we observe is that when our fellow non human creatures live someplace where they are safe, they are not competing for food, and even if they have to scavenge for food, they know it'll be there...pretty much all types of creatures alter their "in the wild, roughing it" behaviour.
Male creatures look after and nuture young ones, and not just their own. Strong friendships, and even what looks pretty damn exactly like love, forms between totally different species. Adults from one species raise babies from another.
Pretty much the only species that when it lives in safety with plenty of resources, no food problems etc..is still cruel to each other, is violent, pointlessly violent, and is cruel to other species....is the human species.
There are wonderful humans, but what really distinguishes humans from other animals, is how there are always many many humans who are so keen to behave horribly, and cruelly and who love pointless destruction and unkindness.
What a great find. Thanks for showing these two lovable bears.
Two jolly excellent black bears.
THIS VIDEO IS PROOF THAT FRIENDSHIP IS A TRUE GIFT & THAT IT'S NICE TO HAVE A REAL BUDDY TO SHARE YOUR LIFE WITH👍😁😎😄
Ughhh? Cubby is his dad not a friend
Awww this is SO AWESOME!!!
beautiful!
Awwwwwww so cute!
Father bear
He is Ballu the bear from jungle book in real life
Love and Love only
The true reason of why that cub still lives and hasn't been killed by that adult male bear is because of human intervention... or else *Cubby* would have surely slew *Takoda* a long time ago as wild adult male bears do not tolerate cubs in any way...
Is Takoda male or female?
This is the kudrat of Almighty Allah .
That's fantastic, Unfortunately they got to stay cooped up or the moron Hunters theyll shoot them. Beautiful really beautiful.
good
The bear is grooming the child
Its nice, that Cubby is looking after Takoda and teaching him, but why was Takoda given to you a zoo, instead of to a bear rescue, maybe he could have been released back to the wild again, when he was older? What happened to his mother? You didn't shoot the mother, did you, so you could have the cub? That is how zoos USED TO get animals and people in U.S.A. still shoot bears for that sort of thing! Its shocking!!!!!
A unrelated male raising a cub
I always thought caniform males are ultra aggressive to their offsprings.
Dogs, Wolves, Bears etc.
For e.g. I saw a wild male dog eat it's offspring out of starvation.
Is a dog eat dog world out there
So they captured a bear from the wild and put him in a zoo? That's so wrong.
