I really these Sound Bites as a consumer because I can always learn something from them. So even at the age of 80 I'm a technology nut and yes I want a pair the new AI Edge!
Thank you both for an informative video. I had a pair of Genesis AI ITE hearing aids last year, but I sent them back and went with Phonak Lumity RIC devices. I think my dis-satisfaction was because my VA audiologist was not familiar enough with the Genesis platform to adequately program them to my hearing loss. I am still kicking myself for giving up on the Genesis devices. The Phonak Lumity devices have been nothing but a disappointment for me. My next devices will be the Starkey Edge AI custom in the ear.
Unfortunately Edge AI is not available in the IIC form factor. Presumably that's because it was decided that user interaction (button push, double tap, or --please no-- double clap!) was needed to start it. Since an IIC sits too deep in the canal for a button or a tap, Edge AI was left out. That's the only reason I can think of since Starkey IICs have always had the same tech as the larger models. I've used Starkey IICs since the first SoundLens model came out and wouldn't have anything other than an IIC. My 4 year old Starkeys are starting to have trouble that cleaning won't fix and I need to get a new set. To get the latest tech in an IIC style, I'm going to have to go with the Oticon Own IIC hearing aids. I hope Starkey brings their IIC model, which has always been the smallest there is, back into the latest line up.
I was torn between the genesis or staying with my Phonaks. My hearing appointment is today! I thought I had this figured out and was sticking with Phonak for the auracast. And now the Edge AI drops with auracast! 😂 I’m curious how the new Edge AI would do for severe low tone loss (reverse slope)
Thanks so much for the comment! From a connectivity standpoint, there are options for both T-coil AND Bluetooth LE audio. We recommend reviewing with your hearing care professional. Thanks for celebrating the introduction of Edge AI with us!
@@starkeyhearingaids Thank you! I had a chance to try on the Edge AI, and I was absolutely blown away by how much of a difference they made, especially with my severe low-tone loss. Unfortunately, I found out my insurance won’t cover them as I’d originally been lead to believe, and I was heartbroken to leave without them. It felt like having Christmas taken away at the last minute. Still, I’m holding out hope for a way to make them a reality in my life someday, because they truly felt like a game-changer for me
In term of connectivity with telephones I understand from different reviews that Starkey is more suitable for IOS users than for Android users. I am an Android user, I tried recently for two weeks the last Genesis 24 RIC, I had a very good experience except with managing calls hands free. Did you address this issue with the new edge AI?

@@donhayden2617yes but do the new AI edge perform better as far as my tinnitus is concerned?
@@reneevignonI would say yes. The Edge AI sounds even better than Phonak.
@@starkeyhearingaids all the features!
@@starkeyhearingaids can you give a quote estimate for one AI Edge (only one ear works?)
Outstanding interview! I can't wait to upgrade to the new Edge AI units!
Thanks for tuning in to Starkey SoundBites!
Picking up EDGE AI 16 next week!

How can I find a list of Starkey hearing aid providers that are trained on your Edge AI hearing aids?
Hello! Here is our provider locator: locations.starkey.com/

Any thoughts about speech recognition vs Phonak infineo Sphere?
No replies yet on the sphere of the android I think the weak points for starkey's. I'll have a monthly test for both starting mid november

@@InsertHandleHere968 Do they have the same price as Starkey Genesis AI 24?
@@ashakur24 the price depends on on the clinic selling them. It will be different at different places. It was around $6500 for a pair at my clinic
Great information and video. Will Android work with these?

Is there any information about the release of the Edge model in Europe/Germany? Do we have to wait another year like we did for the Genesis model? :)
My audiologist told me that the Edge mode is available in France right now!
@@reneevignon oh, thanks already talked with my audiologist, they already have these in backorder!
