I have the same guitar with the same pickup and it’s volume was so soft. Your vid is exactly what I needed to see. Thanks!

Hi Terry thanks for the video. Having a good guitar is all about to replicate its sound when plugged in. All my guitars run the anthem. On my second setup I decided to read a little label on the kit XD in regards to mic gain screwy thingy.
Blend full to mic volume maxed and mic gain (screw thingy maxed out to the right) and start lowering untill achieving the same sound (as close as possible) of your guitar. What it worked for me: is to nail tap the picguard until it sounds the same on my none equed speakers. There I achieved a 90% similarity of my guitars sound.
Anothe crazy thing I did is to install the control block on the back of the guitar (inside) as the soundboard (top) is the wood that moves up and down vs. The back that is way more rigid. It also allow you to put a feedback buster on loud stages.
My EQ is always flat on my mixers
My blend is 95% mic and 5% undersaddle max volume and phase button unpressed.
I will upload a few videos soon of my setup. the ones I currently have were before me experimenting with mic gain and control block positioning. And I was not pleased with the sound.
I hope my experience is of help!
    Peace
    Max

Hey Terry, thanks for posting this. I just had the Anthem system installed in my acoustic and am completely satisfied. This system is impressive and I couldn't find anything on the adjustment screw until I came across this video. Thanks pal. Great job.

Thank you for this. I just got a 2018 Martin HD28 EZ and it came with this pickup. Love it.

Thanks for sharing! Just installed the Anthem and have found very little about adjustments! Keep picking and grinning!

Thanks for the instructional video Terry. I just got a new HsienMo guitar with the LR Baggs Anthem installed and didn’t really know what to do with it. Was almost going to stick an olive onto the stick and have a martini! You like the Blueridge then? It sounds pretty nice to me, they have a nice vintage look and, like my new guitar, are incredibly good value.

The pickup Harmonik GT-02 is the best. 2 mics, 1 piezo and feedback supressor system.

Terry thank you! I don't understand what the phase switch is for? I don't understand the phase in general. Thanks!

Phase is the direction the current is pushing the speakers… the sound guy would tell you :)

I have the same pickup. But my plastic tool it came with is not able to do any of the mic adjustment. It will not turn the adjusting screw anti-clockwise or clockwise. It's like it is too weak because it is plastic. Could it be that some kind of a steel screwdriver must be used.

Not wanting to sound a bit thick, but, shouldn't the tru-mic be set pretty much equal with the under-saddle? So that when you blend the two you get an equal sound? Turning up the mic (a great advantage though, i get that)

The anthem mic is not designed to carry that much of the load; it's not the same as the Lyric mic. It's designed to fill out the sound and give it a more natural tone. Usually it is set between 20--30 percent, but it depends on the guitar and if it's more than that it presents both feedback problems but "noise" problems (it will pick up string noise and any contact you make with the guitar).

Where is the TRS cable plugged into your guitar? I can’t see it. Or is the LR Bragg a Bluetooth pickup?

Any body experienced excessive feedback problems with this pick up - got one on my acoustic guitar & been getting a lot of feedback playing live - had to switch to a strat

Is there a way to adjust height?

  • @Han414

i dont get this... microphone is suppose to be between the bridge and sound hole... and the volume control is on the preamp... so what are you actually turning with that stick?

Hi Ed. I just installed the LR Baggs Anthem Tru-Mic + Element pickup (Full Version) as shown on this video myself just a few days ago on my new Cort Gold Series D8. To be honest I have not made any fine adjustment on the Tru Mic level because the Anthem already sounded great out of the box. But, I will still definitely try to tweak it as soon as I get a chance. Now, from what I have read on the Installation Manual that came with the product - that stick is a tool that looks like a small plastic 'Philips-type' screw driver which is to be used on the Mic Gain Control to adjust or fine tune the Anthem's Tru-Mic's level relative to or in relation to the Element under-saddle pick-up level which the manual says is vital to the sound of the Anthem system.
The reason for this is, the Anthem system has 2 sources of amplification - the Tru-Mic (under-the-bridge microphone) and the Element (under-saddle piezo pick-up). When the Mix Control is rolled all the way towards the neck, the Tru-Mic is carrying the majority of the guitar's voice with the Element pick-up providing only the lowest frequencies. When the Mix Control is rolled all the way towards the bridge, the Element, being a full-range pick-up carries ALL of the guitar's voice - nothing coming from the Tru-Mic. When the Mix Control is rolled half-way, you get a blend of both sources. One only need to do this once. Hope this helps.

@@mr3klax are you saying there are 3 wheels on the anthem system?? i know 2 of them are on the preamp which i can adjust volume and mix tune.. this guy in the video was tweeking something where the battery bag is suppose to be at... hm...

    • @mr3klax
      @mr3klax 4 роки тому

@@Han414 Yes essentially. This Mic Gain Control is unlike the other 2 where they’re thumb wheels and on the cream-colored part of the pre-amp. This Mic Gain Control is just a tiny ‘pin-hole’ at the black-colored area of the pre-amp right next to the battery check button. One needs to look closer to be able to see it. 😷
