Considering how much trouble other smiths have with forge welding metal rods, this a prime example of a SUCCESS!!
Nicely done!
Lovely pattern - well done!!
Linda faca! Saudações do Brasil.
Hello master
Frome Algeria
Perfect video aqui BRASIL
beutiful knife. Valves metal is tough, very tough, makes great engravers too.
Very nice. I love the cord handle all purpose.
Great knife and pattern in the blade, shame the handle was a bit half arsed though
I prefer paracord handles. If I need the paracord while camping I have it on knife
I agree. A nice set of wood blanks would suit the knife much better. But, I'm not the one making it.
Twisted Damascus is one of my favorites. Although it looks great with the paracord, I prefer a wood or micarta handle. Nice knife.
Əs səlamu aleykum qardaş bərəkətli olsun
Nice work. Thanks for not endlessly chattering; it's refreshing.
Great Job!! The process is so perfection. A couple questions, what is the white powder put on the metal before putting back into the forge? Something to reduce the slag? And, after dipping the metal in oil, is that saw dust it is being put into and brushed with? I have noticed this is done on pretty much all your projects. Thank you and keep up the great work!
An absolute thing of beauty
Very nice brother don't listen to the negativity you did what you want and that is all IT is easy to talk shit and do nothing! Great job God bless from Canada eh
Nice knife. Looks the patterning didn't come out very strong like i usually see. Functionality wise, spot on.
Que peça supimpa de bonita!
Parabéns pelo trabalho e muito sucesso!

Curta a vida pois ela é CURTA!
I like that adjustable wrench you used for the twist. I've never seen one like that exactly.

good knife, love to have one like it,
Nice paper knife
Wow, this is very beautiful. You deserve to be followed by everyone
Awesome knife, but have you tried to do an instant coffee after to darken it up a bit?
That is damn good steel good job
Agree it's a nice/good looking knifr, but a handle made from some choice wood, would've been a nice touch to an otherwise beautiful knife
What is the name of a powder you put on?
Borax, its used as flux to help with bonding the layers and reduce/eliminate air getting into it and forming scale.
I've seen similar with sand and powdered glass, but from what I found, they aren't the only options, look it up ;)
I can't believe that you don't wear safety glasses with all those sparks flying around.
Beautiful job brother 👏
Thank you for your video. One question: what kind of electrode do you use to weld the valves?
Very nice 👍🏼
awesome
For future advice carful cutting open valves sodium filled ones are a thing. Just a safety precaution as breathing in sodium dust would not be good.
You need to watch that beard brother you almost did a new Pepsi commercial like MJ! All kidding aside great build as always! Peace
Vermiculite is for annealing. That's a whole separate process before the quench. Not for after the quench. That doesn't do anything. Nice looking steel though.
Hieno vetsi
what is the name of the powder sprinkled at minute 0:58
If you ever cut into a sodium filled engine valve like that, it will explode and propel through your hand and at least one wall of your shop if you’re lucky. If you’re not lucky it will go through a more vital part of your body.
Make sure to check each valve to be sure there is no “S” stamped on it.
I had a broken valve in my jeep and repaired/ re heat treated. It took me about 20 hours. I could have easily bought new valves but where is the fun in that?
HUGE DANGER!!!! Dont ever try this unless you are 100% sure that the valves are not filled with sodium. Some are and they will explode on you!!!!!!
Has any one twisted a bar squared it back up and twisted it in the reverse direction? If so what was the outcome
What is this white powder and what is it for?
Flux and it helps with the forging
That's the way I would sand blades and not by hand you see everyone does
Put a handle on it
I’ll never understand why people use rubber gloves and weld .
😢
I have made an awl with 10.000 needles.
It's terribly sharp!
