I have seen videos that many people have been customizing their various ships by taking apart the deflector area and adding an LED light to make the deflector areas light up. A bit beyond my skills, but I appreciate the attention to detail some people want.
Whoa! I used to have this Enterprise-D toy back in the day. 16:40 Hearing the sound effects here sure brings back memories. Wish I never parted with it, especially now after seeing Season 3 of Picard.
I got mine from Ebay and it included the stand from the Generations battle damaged version. It attaches in place of the battery cover and it looks great!
Still have it 3 decades later. Got it when I was 7 for Christmas, and for some reason my parents gave it to me early. I brought it to school for show and tell the first chance I got.
So the Romulan warbird was a series 1 as well. the reason it didn't have stickers, was cause the scale of the ship, while the 2 toys are the same size the Romulan ship was suppose to be twice the size, which means decals would have been half the size of the decals the enterprise came with, and moms hate tiny sticky things. I am actually working on restoring one of these same ships currently, so you can look forward to that video in a couple months. As Mike has pointed out, you can use contact cleaner to get surface corrosion off the battery contacts. You can also use Hydrogen Peroxide and a Q-Tip to do the same, just make sure the surface is dry before putting the batteries in.
I still have my Enterprise D alarm clock where the Saucer section comes off and makes sounds, it has magnets so you can lift it off and place it back together.
I lost the nacelles a while back when I was younger.. cousin had the Klingon ship, but for some reason in the back of my head I remember a battle damaged TOS enterprise which is what i really wanted I think lol
I just picked one of these up for 30 bucks, I'm thinking of opening it up and adding an LED for the deflector dish. Maybe just splice it into an existing wire for one of the nacelle lights :P
Must be Thursday! Loving these last few episodes with the ships. (But I do love all the episodes though!). I had this Enterprise D ship.. I've lost the Nacelles over time unfortunately. Have you ever collected any of the Eaglemoss ships? I got nearly all the Enterprise ships (waiting on The B and the Beta Cannon Enterprise F in the mail now) and they are gorgeous.
I love the video, I was just wondering, though, if the Patrick you mentioned from Rochester, is it, Rochester, New York, or Rochester or somewhere else? I know there’s a few towns named Rochester in other states.
@@KeithandMike Sadly it's a bit big for my place/display area currently. I do have a Star Trek V die-cast Enterprise A by Ertl so that'll do for now 🙈 I've got into to buying more of the old playmates figures recently and your videos aren't helping 🤣

That’s such a good idea! It would make for a really cool lighting fixture in the room, but I’m with you-That might be over my head… ha

That's awesome! The toys we keep that long are the best ones.

I still have mine. I have lit up the deflector and main impulse engine. The warp engines need a relight if I can get them apart.
I still have mine since I was a kid, 4 years old in 1992, still works!
It's impressive how well they've all lasted over the years. They made them well!

That’s the best part of the ‘back of our heads…’ we can remember it how we want. Lololoo
You didn't put the registry number in the right place.

It looks like the Eaglemoss ship[s are tiny, so I opted for the gold version of this 1993 ship.
I had most of Playmates replicas, then I came across better reproductions. Since I have limited space (no pun), I gave them away to my friends kids.
I’m sure they enjoyed them! As replica’s they’re OK, but as toys they’re awesome

I know there’s a few towns named Rochester in other states.
If I remember correctly, it was NY?
The reason I’m asking is because I live in the area myself and I’m just wondering if I’ve met the guy
I went to college in Rochester NY! Been a while though... ha
Hi Keith still watching your older videos as I'm a new subscribed got to catch up I've a Galoob enterprise D die cast good ship great detail
Nice! Thanks for checking out our older stuff! I had the galoob ship as a kid… very well made. I need to see if i can find it in my parent’s attic
That's not the proper placement of the registry and name, but I'm sure you knew that already.
I had this as a kid, I don't know what happened to it though 😥
Oh bummer! They're out there. The Enterprise D is expensive, but not wildly so in comparison to some of the later ships.

The one I have only has a woman says "firing phases" and no other buttons
Really? That’s interesting. I don’t know if i’ve heard of that variant. Thanks for posting!
