ehh i call it the dairy queen siren even tho taylor street makes fire pizza. or the mcdonald's siren but that mcdonald's that it is next to burned my bagel on my first siren test ever 😡 lmfao
@@Midwest_Sirens Ah, ok. My B500 seems to try and re-focus so constantly on the same thing even if it's an Omnidirectional siren like a Model 5. Thank you
nope, no phase converter. that's what people used to think until i realized that the power lien going to it is a 3 phase lien and the meter says 3 phase. it's running on 3 phase 240VAC according to the power meter
campton hills does not send out cancel tones meaning the siren runs for a full cycle, meaning it's full alert as it's the full cycle for this siren. and yes, it runs on 208VAC. The siren runs off of a 1990s whelen DTMF encoder (that the PD operates) and also has a backup encoder located at the FD (Believed to be a Zetron, heard in this video). I have seen the whelen encoder at the PD (as i live in Campton Hills) and i think it's a E-636
That damn wind up sent shivers down my spine!!!
Me too! 😃
It's because this P-50 has slightly less voltage than usual, most P-50s run on 480v, this P-50 was running on 240v which gives the slow wind up.
Wow... this is absolutely your best video to date!
ngl yeah. and the FZ300 is coming tomorrow 😳
B500 is kinda fire 😳😳😳😳
Agreed. This vid kinda amazing
That ambience got scared 0:22
Nice p50
amazing tones
umm why?
Amazing Video Drew! The quality is awesome
I completely forgot that Campton Hills even had a P-50. Darn it I would have gone there instead of getting the T128 ambience in Braidwood today
Slow windup, but very powerful if you ask me! 👏👏👏
I can never figure out if I like p-50’s with the quick windup or p-50s like this one with the slow windup

Brilliant 😊
I hope that P-50 is enjoying some 5G cell tower stuff.
that tower isn't 5G lmfao
@@Midwest_Sirens it's a joke lmao
@@gym08gotbanned60 oh wow! it was
so funny i forgot to laugh lmfao
nice tones
Real
Slow wind up P-50s are the best
this one had a much slower wind up than usual is there any reason for that?
it is running on 240VAC rather than the usual 480VAC
the taylor street pizza siren lmao great video!

Nice video Drew! those tones kinda sus
How do you stop your B500 from trying to Autofocus? Is there a specific setting you've got?
i just got it on manual focus. it can be hard to use for some ppl tho
@@Midwest_Sirens Ah, ok. My B500 seems to try and re-focus so constantly on the same thing even if it's an Omnidirectional siren like a Model 5. Thank you
I thought those were Kenosha’s tones for a sec lmao
lmfao
Same.
Lol same

Did this P 50 get taken down or something?
it isn't there in street view because the siren was refurbished and installed in 2015 which the street view is from 2014
It is good to record P-50s while they are in service.
this one will be here for a while. it is a refurbished siren and was installed in 2015
@@Midwest_Sirens Bartlett will probably have them for at least another 10 years.
Kenosha 2.0 😳😳😳
Pretty nice shot tho
no cap
Weird wind up
No? Its on a phase converter afaik
it is running on 240 volts which is why it has such a slow wind up
IIRC, it is on a phase converter and is running on 208 volts from said converter.
nope, no phase converter. that's what people used to think until i realized that the power lien going to it is a 3 phase lien and the meter says 3 phase. it's running on 3 phase 240VAC according to the power meter
Is that on battery backup?
no, these sirens run on 480VAC, most batteries used for sirens only carry 12VDC which is no where close to 480VAC
kenosha tones kinda sus
it's in st charles lol
