Never would have thought this was the same siren that used to be on top of the building. And here it is 10 years later still reverse-wired sounding like chopper 5. This has to be the best reverse-wired bolt ever.
@@anthonyd.bervano1946 Chopper Level 6 would be higher, this is what Chopper level 5 would sound like. In reality it's actually set on Level 2 and if correctly wired it would sound significantly lower toned.
For you people wondering, this siren is now incapable of ever sounding hi-lo again as West Shore apparently removed this sirens RC3 (the control box with the flasher) and left the solenoids disconnected. Funny how West Shore installs sirens that are not fully functional, don't work properly, and are in somewhat poor cosmetic condition.
I’m sorry about the ads. My channel is not monetized (since it does not meet the requirements for the partner program), so none of the proceeds go to me. UA-cam used to respect the uploader’s decision on whether they want to have ads or not, but in the most recent update, that was changed so that all videos will be monetized, regardless of what the uploader wants.
@Federal Signal Thunderbolt 1003A Tornado Siren then what’s with the long startup and long winddown? And the chopper cutting out for a split second? And the blower being loud?
From what I recall, the county upgraded all of the sirens within the city to 2001s and then moved the older sirens to the outskirts. HiLo isn’t used because this siren is no longer at a fire station
I don’t see why you’re surprised. West Shore probably just took it down, installed it on the pole, and didn’t bother to change anything else. It sounded exactly the same.
@@westshore6899 Yup. That's actually the same 1003 as this one, but before it was remounted on to the pole. They didn't bother changing the chopper settings or anything. They didn't even re-wire it.

west shore after removing a siren, selling it, only to get reinstalled again
@@Joethaboss66 I was talking how west shore will sell sirens, then people will refurbish and put back up
I wish they still did Hi Lo like the famous video of it when it was mounted on the auditorium
If im not mistaken this siren is Reversed Wired
Wow, we haven’t seen this in 10 years!
it used to be roof mounted right. at the auditorium near highway 80
The best channel with stupid ads and NICE VIDEO!!

so this siren was mounted on top building and moved to industrian park
The legend it’s self is still healthy sounding
ngl, i want an update on this siren
never have heard a reversed wired thunderbolt on level 3. sounds like normal level 5 haha. nice video Mike!
@Yellow Thunderbolt 1003A Tornado Siren yes it is. What is it with kiddies saying the facts are wrong. Go away.

This is the original tbolt that use to sit on top of the theater hall
Yes, I am aware.
Why did they move it?
@@wisconsinoutdoorsirens1250 it was moved to fulfill coverage gaps in the area.
The same siren that did all 3 signals in 1 day is STILL REVERSED WIRED. At least it sounds like it’s in chopper level 5.
Seems like broken agastat. The rotator starts spinning after the chopper starts spinning. Idk tho
Nice!! I thought this bolt was gone untill i saw this video.
It’s been like this for a while but what’s with the screen?
Level 3 reverse wired = Level 5
Weird hearing a reversed bolt that low pitched. Nice vid boi
Its on chopper 3. So of course its low.

I have to say that I’m a bit surprised it’s still reverse wired. Thought WSS would be smart enough to fix it.

Multiply 5/6 by two. You'll have a 10/12 port xT22.
whats the point of a thunderbolt 1003 when the solenoids are disconnected?
Not too sure, i guess they just don’t care to reattach the rcm3 after moving it?

I don’t know
