you should activate random rotation in the prop line tool, its the little dice icon... makes a huge difference
Thanks for the tip! Will pop it on 😁
Laying here in a hospitL bed after an emergency gallbladder surgery and Egg makes my day! Cheers! Great build as always!
Oh man, that sucks. Lots of rest my friend, wishing you a speedy recovery!
Is there anything more satisfying than watching crowds walking around at a transit hub?
Literally nothing!
Watching crowds walk around two transit hubs!
@@DizzleEdits how about, now hear me out here...three transit hubs!?
Wowowow calm down mate, my little heart will explode!!
Vaguely surprised this isn’t a ‘Why I’m pausing CS:2 content’ video, lol
Thanks for the content, love your work.
it's funny I just started a new round after I made a break for 2 months and it surprisingly is much better than the release version was. Not perfect but I am having fun. Will need more months though to get more fixes
Haha thanks mate, glad you're enjoying the vids!
I really like the idea of green space along the waterfront across from Whisky's industrial port and kind of culminating at the park you built this episode. So much walkability!
Thanks mate! We love the walking!
Full grown trees is so much more appealing when you detail. That initial mob of cims when you first dropped the pedestrian path was wild! A couple of fences and benches would really wrap that park up nicely 😢
Fences and benches wrap everything together! Cheers baked, surprised you managed to pull yourself away from Frenwood 😂
Appropriate lyric for the debut of the line tool: "Can't get any better..." That was such a good feeling seeing you whip out a line of bush!
😂❤️ thanks Mike!
29:00 I was about to say a really nice traditional high density crossroads, until the building blew up🔥
Annnnnnnnnd its gone!
Good to see some QoL mods in Egginburgh. Certainly makes a difference 👌
We love a line tool don't we!?
That park between the harbour and transport hub looks very nice!
Thanks Ben!
Don't mind the tree mods. Helps Egg be more spicy. Another good episode. Thanks Egg! 🤘😎🤘
Thanks Wulfe! Appreciate all your support mate!
Funny enough, this build lines up perfectly with what I am doing in my new save on OG Cities. Going to use this for reference! As always, love a transport hub and love the content. Much love, Egg.
Good luck with your build Roley! Glad the videos can help inspire :)
Great build Egg. Love the fact that everything includes the name "EGG" . Looking forward to more mods
Eggcellent! Thanks bud 😁
I am so happy that you and a few others are starting to use the mods. I finally broke down and added them myself, especially the tree and prop line tool
Getting close to that 100k subs Egg! So excited for you man! You're Palaven build was so inspirational for me during the lockdowns. Thanks for being awesome!😊
Love hubs because there is so much movement with them. Really brings a city build to life right? I really like the idea of your own bus hub too!! And yay for the tree line mod 🥳 Makes all the difference to draw lines of trees and bushes and also full-grown trees. I understand the thought behind planting and growing but I like full grown trees!! Very nice build 🤩
For the bus pickup loops, first lay down one-lane one-way road (with sidewalks), then place a bus stop shelter, finally apply the public transport lane.
oh the tease in the cinematic at 34:10, when it was about to line up with the sight line up to the castle over the bridge throuhg whiskey
Forever amazed at the way you build these fun, custom transit hubs! Great stuff, Egg!
Thanks Hazel!
Egg you should add a path/crossing from one tram stop to the other in the transport hub, as the sims have to walk all the way round the loops at the moment if they wanted to transfer lines
Egg detailing with the line tool ❤
I assume that the use of loops rather than simply reversing the tram at the end of the line was a design/aesthetic choice.
Love the interchange and all its business of foot traffic! Loads of walking you-know-what... and a great call on lowering the harbour. (It has an internal bus exchange I think ..)
I does have an internal bus exchange! Bourbon is going to be bus capital of Egginburgh! And yes, I just love a loop 😁
I'm glad to see you're trying out a few QOL mods.
There is actually just a dude and his dog straight up flying right here 9:47
Hey egg.....i think u should add more bus stops on the main Street of bourbon and extend the tram line in the invernegg a bit further near something more special or some trademark 😊
This build is definitely getting copied into my city. Brilliant work and thanks for the inspiration :)
Glad it can inspire, good luck with your build 😁
I feel you're missing a trick by not calling your junction a 'Jegg-xit' 😂
maybe you could connect the whiskey shuttle bus into the harbour?
Good call!
I really liked the build. I will probably be checking out your CS1 videos as well since I'm putting off buying CS2 for the time being.
Such a difference to use prop-line tool! Love your work Egg!
Prop line tool is my crutch haha
Always waiting last segmen the cinematic video pretty insane! Love it
I like this plan! :)
thank you!
I have to say, that although very frustrating at times, I am more amazed with the devs brilliance every day!
Great detailing
You should take the tram that stops at Invernegg waterfront to the bus stop as it’s not far from where you’ve placed to increase convergence 6:55
There is a difference between trams and cable cars. What you are using is trams. They are self propelled and need to obey basically the same rules as trains, handling even less steep slopes as trams, which are self propelled, have far less weight (for traction) and far weaker engines (for power).
The iconic images from San Francisco, and other places, of the steep hill climbs are being done by cable cars. These differ from trams as they are pulled by a cable up the hill. The power source for them are elsewhere, a very large and powerful motor that could not be carried on the cable cars themselves. The issue of weight, and thus traction, is also negated by the cars being pulled and not relying on their own wheels maintaining traction.
While it is possible to have cable cars rounding curves, even going around in a circut (think of amusement park rides or ski lifts) so that you could say tjat what you have is cable cars and not trams, it would be highly uneconomical. It would be best to have a seperate line going up and down the steep hills and call those cable cars. The "trams" would complete the longer, flatter circuits.
Please make this build take a more progressive urbanist approach 🙏🏻🙏🏻 would love to see you make a walkable, bike-able public transit paradise ❤
You could build this city sooooo densely with this amazing transit network o.o hell I've got almost no traffic and only like 15buses with 30k pop
We can always rely on egg for a good custom build, even in the mess that is Cities 2!
The more I watch CS2 and the QOL tools they make me think a paid CS1 DLC of maybe £24.99 with the CS2 road tools included, building scaling, zoning etc, like a major overhaul DLC, would have been a far better shout.
Did anyone else notice the floating dog walker in the top right at 9:49?
Omg lmao, I did not 😆
@@OVERCHARGEDEGG I had to go back a few times to see if my eyes were deceiving me 😆
A video about mod set up would be helpful to me
Use as many mods you need
That is a dangerous path lol!
i feel like the tram stops should be the ones closer to the pedestrian road and not the 2 loops farther away.
I wished I lived here. My goodness.
Why was the prop line tool not included with the base game!?
You sir are coool
Was looking forward to this build, it doesn't disappoint. At last some proper walking p*rn 👌
Is it possible to download your save from the game from somewhere?
Tram still need loop in CS2? 😢
Some of the trams have more than one color, is that a bug or a feature?
its a bug. they fix themselves dont worry!
