What a PATHETIC field- a sad reflection of a once great race- this lot was a wretched bunch. Win Win Win got a HORRIBLE RIDE and the winner here- Vekoma- it was painful watching him in the stretch- he won't even be top 6 in the KD. FAST TRACK- Slowest Blue Grass since 2007. (And that was a slow track).
@David Newell He sure was coming late. It looked to me like he was pretty hard ridden, but they needed points so I understand why. He could definitely be a factor in the Derby.
Every prep race was won by horses getting great pace/trip scenarios...but WinWinWin was forced about 6wide in the Tampa Bay Derby...then he closes huge late ground here after steadying on the far turn...ON A DAY AND RACETRACK WHERE NOBODY SEEMED TO CLOSE!!! I’m really sorry about the Caps, but I’m gonna need them again when I tell you guys how he just worked out....um yeah...he made easy work of his mate Sunday April 28, then unexpectedly the Bill Mott trained duo of Tacitus and CountryHouse came up on that pair’s inside...well guess what...WINWINWIN blew past those two while under little urging...then after the wire he was forced 6wide with jock Pimental standing straight up asking for nothing and HE REENGAGED THE MOTT PAIR IN THE GALLOP OUT!!!!!!! I will note that the Motts started their work before WWW, so maybe he should have galloped out with them. But still, it was an impressive sight. I love that all the wise guys are dismissing him as a “sprinter”. Um, what??Sunday Silence, Smarty Jones, Unbridled etc all in the genes...I’m pretty sure WWW can get the 1.25 miles...AND GET IT IN QUICK FASHION!
I love vekoma he is beautiful horse.
Yikes that was a struggle to watch in the stretch
Vekoma looked like he was counting people in the stands coming down the stretch. Gawking around.
I can't explain that strange looking stride.
That was a Short horse. Not ready to run that race.

For Win Win Win to get up late after the train wreck on the turn was impressive. I see why people like him in the Derby.
Win win win had to check hard around the far turn, I like win in the derby
Idk about win but could be an interesting play underneath in exotics
@@RoadToRetire25 the handicapper in me agrees but,the future bet I have is screaming win!! If Irad stays on him I like his chances.
win win win
I agree - see the finish ?
@@032368586 I think it will be a fast pace in the derby and win win win will be running down the center of the track!
Vekoma was lucky that Win win win had to steady in the final turn...
what is with vekoma's front left leg,? he throws out left ,then forward it seems to give a longer stride somehow,?????
paddle
