This is why I watch Alec Steele! He's such a great human being who gives back and actually awards winners unlike most of these channels you see on UA-cam! Alec you're so humble, nice, and just awesome! I wish I could be more like you man keep it up!

    Alec,
You should make a "wall of fame" kinda thing in your office with all the projects you have made on UA-cam. Show off the war hammer, the swords, the battle axe and all the awesome knifes. They are too beautiful to be just tucked away somewhere. Show them off!
    Regards

Just a thought Alec, you may want to mount a sheet of diamond steel on the wall near the leg vise to catch all the sparks when grinding so the wall doesn't get pitted.

    Hey Alec,
I have a challenge for you (if you want it of course)
I am new to your channel and really enjoy watching you learn so much. I've watched multiple youtube blacksmiths before but never seen such a young talented guy.
In my school last year we had a special class: blacksmithing, i've had much fun doing it, having watched blacksmiths making things and wanting to do it myself. We did some practicing on making a hook, a heart and a nail. When we were getting the hang of it (after about 2 months) we started making a viking knife. First we needed to make what we were told and if we had lessons to spare we could come up with our own design (but with the same concept). At the time i played CS:GO and wanted to make a karambit. Unfortunatly our tools were limited, so our design was limited aswell.
I think it came out really good. But it isnt even close to a actual knife. The quenching, the grinding and the fact that we were working in a group of 15 in a small workshop.
If i could redo it, i think i could do it way better than then.
Now here is my challenge. Do you want to try and make a knife with the requirements we had and the design idea me and my friends (with their karambits) invisioned?
It'll probably take about a day to make but i am really really interested in how you will find a way to make things look really good.
(If you accept the challenge i'll send you a picture via whatever platform you want)

Hi Alac. For me at 0:50 it looks like you have the wrong power sockets on your wall in the grinding room. Due to the metal dust you should use dust-proof sockets with a minnimal IP Code of IP5X.

I'd like to see you layout a couple thin billets of motorcycle chain and sandwich them on either side of a nice piece of high carbon steel . I think motorcycle chain makes some of the most beautiful leopard patterns, and i've never seen you work with unconventional materials like chain or cable.
