So happy for you having your own studio space! You are a great teacher...I love your style and simplicity...beautiful artwork, easy clear instructions. You Rock!
Thank you for your videos! You show that it is possible to make lovely art without super expensive supplies. Love your simple designs and your teaching style!
I was always so wary of watercolour, but the way you explain all the concepts ... somehow you make it sound so much more fun and interesting! Thank you for your wonderful teaching, Shayda!
Thanks for simply & succinctly demonstrating "how to" for each step. I have all the supplies & none of the experience. The wreath looked simple enough, but: where to start, how to shade, which step is first. You kept it simple, quick & clear, so I think I could do everything without even having to watch again!! [but I did subscribe & save just in case]. THANKS! Because of how well you did your part, I'm not intimidated to give it a try!
Thanks so much for this video! I watched it this morning and decided to practice right away for one of the World Watercolor Month paintings. It was so much fun that I am hoping to do many more.
Omg Shayda, I'm just so so so thankful that I found your channel last night. I watched your videos until 3 in the morning. You're such a lovely person and your advice is game changing for me. Thank you! :) xx lots of love
Gorgeous. You just talked me into ordering all kinds of watercolor supplies. I'm going to try watercolors now. Like I need another project. Sigh. It's so beautiful I can't help myself.
I so look forward to your projects each week Shayda very informative & easy to follow, you've renewed my interest in water colour painting so thankyou for sharing your beautiful designs. X
Nice, thank you. I dabble in watercolour but mainly use acrylic in the class I attend. Watercolour is much more relaxing I find. I spend far too much time watching lovely instructive videos like yours and not enough time actually doing it! My fault entirely! :)
OMG! ! I'm from Brazil! And I'm Just in love... I fell that I'm really capable of doing that! I'll deffinitly give it a try! ! It's so beautifull... thanks so much for sharing your skills! ! :) 😘
Hi shayda! Absolutely love your videos it's made me fall in love with painting all over again. I wanted to suggest maybe using a tea towel or cloth to blot your paint instead of paper towels, to be more eco friendly. I've started using a tea towel and it works really well :)
I found this extremely helpful! Will be subscribing and looking forward to learning more from you as I continue on my watercolor (and art in general...) adventures! :)
Hey Shayda !! An amazing tutorial 😀😀 Just have a question .. How do you keep your white bristled brushes clean ?? Mine always get stained by the paints ..😕 Thanks in advance 😆😆
Thank you for the video, it's a beautiful reath indeed ! i am glad that now i know how to draw it ! just one point, the corner where you're putting the camera and the light coming from the right side makes it hard to see what you're painting sometimes, i wish if you could find a solution for that :)
Francine Rae Where are you located? You can try in craft stores or book stores near your area. If not, you can just order online. Try visiting craftcarrot.com or thecraftcentral.com. 😊
i was using mixed media tto keep my options open but just got 140 pound weight because it just akes a huge difference with the watercolor ..and for my greeting cards i need quality paper ...
I was really confused why you used a synthetic brush. Then, I realized that your way doesnt have a way of the flat wash since synthetic brushes to watercolor create an uneven wash leaving one part light and another part dark
I would love to watch your tutorial, but half of the details are washed out because of the too strong light / camera angle. Also, I wish you'd have mentioned it somewhere that the actual tutorial, leaves and wreaths, starts at 3:44. It's fine if you want to chat or talk about stuff in the begging, just point out when the actual thing you say in the title starts at for those who are there just for that. And I'm not a fan of your brush holding. I know you know it is not the correct way, but you probably learned to hold your brush when you were a kid and it just stuck. But it can cause a lot of unpleasant stuff, for example carpal tunnel syndrome, since you move your whole wrist instead of just your fingers. :(
How fun! Thanks for sharing!

If one want to start with lower cost, is there cheaper paper option?
What paper are you using? What if there is no watercolor paper here in ph? what is the alternate?
Ph?? Phillippines??
I saw some watercolor sketchbooks in National Book Store
and the online store has stocks
I bought some watercolour papers at national bookstore in Robinsons Metro East along in Marcos High Way.
Francine Rae You can buy Canson Watercolor paper in NBS. 😊
Sadly, we don't have national book store here
Francine Rae Where are you located? You can try in craft stores or book stores near your area. If not, you can just order online. Try visiting craftcarrot.com or thecraftcentral.com. 😊

Are you Canadian, I love your accent!
you draw super chute and lovely
Congrats 👍✳👍✳👍✳

you are so cool
And here you have me, I don't even know how to hold a brush.
I was really confused why you used a synthetic brush.
Then, I realized that your way doesnt have a way of the flat wash since synthetic brushes to watercolor create an uneven wash leaving one part light and another part dark
i have no problem with washes and synthetic brushes. maybe it's your paint load.
You get nice paper but use prang watercolors?????
Please, subtitles in Portuguese!!

Has anyone told you that you kinda look like Halsey?? 🙃🙃🙃
😂
Since you are Canadian, like me, can you please spell 'watercolor' the correct way, ie., WATERCOLOUR - never forget the 'U' !
