I'm doing this watercolour painting at the moment. It's very fun and cool to paint, I'm having a delightful moment! 🖌😃 This painting is achievable even if you have only a little experience in the medium (I'm not saying that my painting is extraordinary -not even close to it!-) but it's well...satisfying ! And one will never insist to much on this point: always use an excellent paper (300 gr.=140 lbs and 100% coton). No compromise on that! 📄 Thanks a lot for this video! (I subscribed to the channel) * sorry for my bad English, I'm French!
Thank you for sharing! Of course, you can use any preferable paper for you. I never suggest using expensive paper when practicing. Just on the final work, and also not mandatory. You can share on Instagram, just tag me!
@@lippostcard You are welcome! With all my heart I wish you creative growth! Continue to give your talent to the world and the Universe will give you many pleasant surprises!
I was interested in what paints, brushes, and especially in what sketchbook and type of paper you were using. I particularly like wire sketchbooks and I am always interested in finding ones with good quality paper. I clicked to expand on the notes to hopefully find out about the art supplies you were using. Unfortunately I found no information on the art supplies you were using. I only found information about the background music you chose, and a listing of several of your other videos. I also would like to know about the fineliners you used to add details to the painting. The colors of the fineliners were really nice. And I would also like to know about the metallic paints and gold paint you used at the end of the painting. The painting turned out very pretty in the end.
Hi! Thank you very much! It's actually a good idea, I have just added the materials I use to the description. However paper I use would be difficult to find since I got it from Vietnam and it seams it is the only place where you can buy it from. Probably you can find a substitute for this paper, just look for 50% cotton and 50% cellulose, to have the same effect.
Your work is absolutely lovely! However your description isn't accurate at all. It isn't a tutorial, it's a demonstration. I was so looking forward to learning from you. From the beginning, it would have been helpful to be able to see the pencil guidelines you used. Perhaps just change the description to "Watch me paint". Hopefully you might one day consider doing tutorials; your painting really is terrific! 🙂
Heey! Thank you! Yes, It is a painting demonstration more like since I am not talking. But if you watch, then, I believe it is clear what's going on. Yes, I had a clear picture in my head, but for the video, the pencil guideline could be clearer or bright which might ruin paper on the other hand. Anyway, thank you for the feedback!
@@lippostcard I'm working on it right now. Sadly mine isn't turning out nearly as pleasing as yours! haha It will be a good learning exercise tho, as I try to figure out 'why'. 🙂
@@lippostcard I'm just not that experienced, that's all. I don't have a handle on water control, that type of thing. Charging in with another colour while it's too wet. ie: Fall leaves that are both strong green and red are so beautiful, but red and green together makes brown - if too wet. It will hopefully look better in the morning. haha And if not I'll hit it with some shiny gold! That always helps. 😀
@@griffinharvey3910 yes, it is all about the balance between water and color. Try placing red and green from 2 sides leaving white in the middle. And when the water dries up, add more color in the middle, so it won't make dirty brown. Definitely you can fix it with gold later :)
Lovely example of colour mixing on the paper…leaves or other simple shapes are perfect for this
Yes, you can change the shape and mix the colors the same way

Yes. I was wondering how I learnt to master watercolor from this video because nothing was explained.
