London, downtown SLC is VERY walkable. I took an Uber once (but more because I didn't feel like walking that day) but everything is within a mile or 2 at the VERY most. Most everything downtown is within a few blocks. If you do want to go out to the lake or to hiking locations, you may want to rent a car. But again, you can Uber if it's just one thing.
The Family History Library is open to the public, and it is free. With 4,600 branches in 126 countries, it is the most extensive genealogical library in the world. It would be the go to place if you want to trace your lineage.

Just not the right time, pandemic and all.... Slc can be fun and even interesting. If it didn't sound weird or creepy, I would offer to chaperone the next time you were here. I've lived in salt lake my entire life and I'm old(born in late '70s). Small town fun with city variety..! Happy trails!
Everything is always dead in Utah. Like there is no life in Utah . Everything is empty . Zzzzz I hated the time I spent living in Utah. Nothing is ever open . Sunday’s are even worse. Where are all the people.

Would you recommend renting a car or is everything downtown pretty walkable?

Thank you! Everything was closed while I was there so it was hard to know what was normally open and what wasn’t. I would love to return someday.
@@JaclyTravel probably because of the unmentionable virus, everything is pretty much back to normal now.
I may have to make a trip back! Any other tips on things to do?

I feel like I did so much research before I went and now I’m finding I missed so much. I would definitely love some tips! Thanks for watching 😀
I love Utah...
Me too! What is your favorite thing to do there?
The family history library is for all people and there's no fee.
Thanks Anthony! It’s such a cool resource.

@@JaclyTravel Mr. Smith is a known troll, he hits every SLC video. The user name says it all.
Does not look appealing
Thanks, Susanne. What do you think would have made it better?
Jacly didn't even cover a tenth of one percent of every thing to do here. If you're ever in the neighborhood, we'd love to have you.
