- We would never fire our children or suspend our parents-so why do we readily adopt that practice when it comes to managing employees in the business sector?
For Simon Sinek, motivation speaker and author of Start With Why and Leaders Eat Last, leadership is paramount to business success. And through his work consulting with companies around the world, Sinek has found that part of being a great leader comes down to a simple, yet effective practice: treating employees like family.
I could listen to this guy talking forever
Currently reading his books and they are absolutely phenomenal! I don't even want to know how many times I have watched/listened to his talks here on youtube... No one has ever had such an impact on me
Agreed!
same here ............feeling are meant to be felt by heart.........he is an example .
Agreed too! :)
gud job
'
And he's so pleasant to listen to. Very well spoken.
I fall into one aha to the other aha moment with Simon a true inspirational men! God bless him.
he is so natural and knowlegable that he follows no path but his talk is so smooth and caring...
Leadership is "Growing others", so they will GROW the company!
I love hearing Simon speak. "We now think that we can solve problems with intensity. It is consistency that cause problems and it is consistency that fixes problems"
incredible insight. I think looking at leadership as being a parent is a resplendent view on leading in any organization profit or non profit. Caring for those under your care creates influence not a title postion.
Brilliant man , great analogies for both business and for inspiring the individual. Realisation of having a good leader in mind ..
Consistency analogy so brilliantly delivered .
Thank you
I just love this yellow flower that he put onto his jacket 😊
This is an inspiring message for all leaders - no matter level of experience.
There is no better user of the metaphor than Mr Sinek. Superbly articulated points that make total sense.
Now I'm studying master of management because of him!!!!!!
Thats what i call an inspiriting leader Simon is :)
+640abdalla damn this is my comment on a year ago, now i finally have graduated and got a job but I work under someone who has a fucking authority but has bad leadership.. fuck me right?
Mahesa Rangga Thats awesome dude that you've graduated...but it does suck to have to work under a jerk :( hopefully you'll find something better. good luck
How's it going for you? I'm now in your position a year ago
He’s a trained anthropologist 😂😂😂
Logic, articulated brilliantly.....
Excellent talk and so true. I like the analogy of leadership vs. authority, and intensity vs. consistency.
Inspired as always Simon...thanks mate! :-)
CONSISTENCY not INTENSITY...you better preach that!!!
It is true: Leadership and Parenting are more less the same, which unfortunately, our contemporary leaders seldom practise, leavening their followers in a state of orphanage.
Everything he says makes sense
63K hits is criminal. Everyone in an organization needs to watch this.
Wow - powerful stuff.
Courage
When did he come to Vancouver? I totally missed this!
That last part. Incentivize stock instead of people. How do u incentivize people instead ?
Why the little flower is in his pocket? I think that I know the answer now. I've figured it out by myself. maybe someday we'll meet each other and I'll thank you for all that you without knowing have done for me.
Wow..
This interviewer looks like a slimmer Chick Corea
