- The Aeronca L-3 Grasshopper. Such a cool little plane.
Video Text:
Continuing on with the theme of Aviation Community, today I’m flying my friend JT down to San Diego to pick up his new plane. JT has been an unbelievable help to me for the past few years on all the projects I try and tackle. I
honestly hang out with JT more than anyone else on the field.
Keeping the streak going.
So excited for JT...absolutely awesome he's already got it safely home. Love the shot of his salute 🫡
I’ve never seen him more excited about something. He has not stopped working on it since he got it.
Such a cool plane
It’s really sick. I hope he lets me take it for a spin
You're killing it, Mr coats 😊
Thanks Wayne! I’ve been having a blast filming all this flying
Brother!! You are CRUSHING amazing aviation content.
Thanks G-Money! The streak is still alive.
Depending on the wind, I hope he enjoys seeing the same check point on a cross country for three hour's...... they are great for local fly daytime vfr only.
It’s definitely not a cross country machine. But it fits perfect into his mission, just a slow short cruise every once and a while
What a cool plane! I'm surprised it's that fast. 65HP or 95hp Continental? Great seeing the old 172 as well.
It only has the 65hp in it. I was really surprised by the speed as well
Great video as always ! I learnt to fly on a Taylorcraft L2. Fantastic little airplanes!
Thanks Luke, it looks like an awesome airplane. I’m looking forward to flying it
Absolutely loving the content! Love from South Africa, currently learning to fly a Pitts S2-B as well!!
Thanks Ethan! That’s sick! There’s nothing like a Pitts, best airplane to learn in.
Very kewl.
Your videography is amazing. My daughter wants me to do flying videos, not her do them but me and I have no ability. I fly a Piper Arrow, worlds best camera ship, for views of wingtips and we live in Ohio. Fly along documenting the ground, corn, wheat, bean, horses, trees, lakes, city, slums, abandoned shopping malls. That is Ohio, suddenly my wingtips are more interesting.
Watching you and Trent Palmer I see how I lack story telling and shot composition instinct. I was a cop then a Dispatcher/meteorologist at the big QS fractional, I deal in just the facts.
The big thing I focused on was making videos that I wanted to make. I went down the rabbit hole of trying to make content that would get views, but I quickly got bored. Now I just film the stuff I want to film and through it I’ve learned how to tell better stories and film better angles. I’m always learning, I feel like a complete amateur compared to real cinematographers but I’m having fun learning
You are doing a good job.
You have such an awesome taildragger collection!
Haha it’s not mine, but hopefully he will let me fly it one of these days
Incredible. This shows up in my UA-cam feed after I saw this L-3 in a half open hangar. He's on the end on either B or C row?
I'm the polished C120
That’s crazy! I was the one flying the cub this evening. I saw you take off
@@alexandercoats Outstanding videos, I'll find you next time I'm at Hemet. Usually flying the glider tow once or twice per month.
@@dcannon1 sounds good. If you see any of my hangars open just cruise over
Hope you get to fly it and do a comparison with the cub!
Hoping to get to fly it soon. There are a few little projects John has to get done on it first
@@alexandercoatsLike washing the dust off? 😅
Poor bird hadn't been flown in a while it seemed.
Best music ever. Might have been more appropriate if it was an L-19 Birddog in the air.
Very true, not going to argue that
