So how does it work when it rains? In the video it kind of looks like the concrete is at an angle so that would be sufficient from making puddles, but what if your concrete is on a flat surface? And if your concrete is at an angle, when it does rain, wouldnt all that sand just wash off underneath? Because it is technically on a smooth surface?
What’s the purpose of spraying triple washed sands and also when the turf gets dirty or too dusty, is there a way to clean them? Can we hose them down?
My brother has in in his back garden and has 2 dogs. He cleans it with disinfectant daily and a hose. Jet washes it about 2 times a year for a deep clean.
What is the border at the sidewalk edge? Looks like metal... something to stop the edge from fraying / coming up in that high-traffic area. I am looking to put grass on my driveway, but trying to figure out the best solution to transition from sidewalk to grass on driveway. Thanks.
hi i want to lie artificial grass down on top of concreate is there a under lining i need to put down first, cause i lied down artificial grass squares and when it rained it was really wet when i lifted them there was worms under them and the ground was soaking even though the grass has drainage holes in them
If lying on flat concrete than air drainers should be applied which is a kind of underlay with Square air holes.... This keeps the artificial grass slightly off the concrete and allow the rainwater underneath it to evaporate easier so that you won't have wet artificial grass for weeks on end.... Ideally also drill some holes on the concrete so that most of the rainwater doesn't sit on the concrete floor for long.
Shame! Actually this is a problem to install directly to concrete without prepping for any drainage. When it rains, the water collects, and does not run off the concrete. The turf holds in the moisture, and the turf stays soggy for days or weeks, depending on how much sun it gets, in order to dry out. This leads to fungus, mold and mildew!!!! You should saw cut the concrete creating drainage channels and/ or drill many 3/4" holes through the concrete to the sub surface below the concrete.
I saw someone install some type of grid below the artificial grass. Does that help ? I can imagine that this artificial grass is the same like having a carpet outside and when it rains it retains so much moisture
NOT ENOUGH ADHESIVE WAS APPLIED ON PERIMETER AND SEAM. THE SEAM WAS NOT CUT CORRECTLY AND THE CUTTING PROCESS SHOULD BE FROM THE BACK. THERE WAS NO EVEN SAND APPLIED AND NO POWER BROOM WITH BRUSH HEAD ON MACHINE? I AM NOT SURE IF THIS A DIY VIDEO OR A PROFESSIONALS??? HAPPY TO GIVE ADVISE. FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME. THANKS...

I DO NOT GET IT WHY THEY POSTED A VIDEO WHEN U WONT BE ABLE TO ANSWERS QUESTION?
What’s the purpose of spraying triple washed sands and also when the turf gets dirty or too dusty, is there a way to clean them? Can we hose them down?
Mostly for weight.
What about rain water?
I'd definitely be doing this when I move to my own house. Can you please post all the tools you used?
That would be really helpful
What about pet urine? I have a front yard that’s all concrete, and I am concerned about the urine crystallizing and dealing with a permanent bad odor.
My brother has in in his back garden and has 2 dogs. He cleans it with disinfectant daily and a hose. Jet washes it about 2 times a year for a deep clean.
Great idea for my outdoor area, looks like a project in the making.
Thanks for the helpful video

Theres no drainage in that and underlay , so it will be hard , have puddles when it rains and not last ?
What type of compound material did you guys use to glue the turf to concrete?
Would you not put underlay under the grass?
Everyone has his own ways. This is just one way
Nice job guys, top class finish.
Yon are soooooo good at this. 🤩
What glue are you using
Why put sand?
What about drain?
What type of glue?
Where is the prep work in this video?
Would it be ok to have this on a tiled balcony?
Yes
Yeah looks like real grass now.
thought i was at night club
What kind of glue do you use?
Roberts 6700 👍

shockpad with drainage holes

Do i need any weed membrane/underlays?
Will the sand not work on slopes?
what is the sand for?
Did you ever find out what the sand was for?
+Kel Green so it looks more realistic

The concrete isn’t completely flat, so the water will flow thru the lower side . I use the same method in my side yard.
Good idea damn

Can you recommend me someone who can install artificial turf in orange county CA?
Did you find someone?
They don't reply... I guess that grass is already gone after some problem with maintenance and rain.
For outdoor use, which adhesive would you recommend? Roberts 6700 / Henry 663? Or stronger?
Steve Big stronger
Roberts 6700 👍
Im a renter would this work if i need to remove it after?
It will leave residue
Excellent

What is the purpose of the sand?
Could I use this for an outdoor basketball court?
Crijen Crayon why would you put grass on a basketball court?
Crijen Crayon who pits grass on a 🏀 court? Smh
Maybe he dosnt want to use it as a basketball court any more.
This is not the correct way to install turf. Especially with the seam
step 1: wrong
Ok job for amateurs. But if they’re “pros” lol no way
Looks more like carpet than grass. I've seen more realistic artificial grass.
