I`m ready to say BYE BYE to my lawn until next year and ready for a hard freeze. Been 2 long extremely hot rainless summers in N/central Texas. I`m surprised my lawn looks as good as it does. Thank God I`m on a well. Time to spend a little time in my deer blind. Thanks for the video.
Ooof. Fellow North Texas resident here. Hottest Summer since 1980 and driest since 1954. I don't have a well so took it in the pants with my water bill just keeping my Bermuda alive this Summer. We finally got a single rain storm a couple weeks ago, after I put down my Fall feeding and some iron, and now my lawn is looking really nice. I'm still watering like he recommended but not having to do nearly so much. I disagree with cutting the Fall lawn shorter. I leave it as high as I can get to shade the topsoil and suppress weeds. I do knock it down like he said in the Spring for the same reasons.
Great timing, 3 days of rain coming next week. My Bermuda is 2 years old will be putting down pre emergant. Weed control will be 2 4 D a week later and roundup for my monkey grass in the winter. Golf between applications and winter. Have a great downtime.
Our lawn is planted on top of underground springs so it stays green to late fall to early winter.we have to mow it every week even in the drought condition. We live in northeast Georgia
I’m in S.C., inland. My lawn is a disaster. This is the first year in 5 yrs I’ve paid close attention to lawn care.I watch your videos constantly as I’m now obsessed. I previously had TG handle it but they apparently didn’t put down pre emergent. So my lawn is full of crabgrass, sedges, among others.I have predominantly Centipede with St.Augustine and have noticed Zoysia also.Even a tiny bit of Bermuda. I have 20,000 sf. So it’s a handful. In my rear yard St. Augustine has naturally spread but I believe I have take all root rot.I’m afraid SA will exhaust me and kill my enthusiasm for lawn care.I’m looking for any guidance. Should I concentrate on and encourage Centipede to dominate the others? G
Hey LCL, Im in South Central Gaaawgia. I have a back yard with a mix of centipede and St. Aug. Those pre-emerg's you spoke of, can they be used on my mix of grass? And do you sell yard treatment schedule recommendations for warm season grasses on your website? I have a yard treatment company and for 2 years now every time they spray my back yard with the St. Aug they end up killing off small areas. I think its where the guy may have paused a few seconds longer to move/adjust the hose. Anyway Im doing my yard treatment myself from now on. Thanks for any help on getting my yard project started. Stay safe out there.
Question since your in Alabama do you’ll need a certificate or license for spraying peoples lawns? I live in Louisiana can you point me in the right direction? I don’t wanna get in trouble for spraying yards that I cut.
@@lawncarelife would it make sense to just use glyphosate on it? I know it would kill grass, too, but if it'll kill the dallisgrass, it might be worth a couple bare spots.
Id like to tell my story so others may learn from my mistakes. Now i only took over our lawn care from my brother last year after he threw up his hands. Turns out he really wasn't doing the right thing and over a few years our lawns were half dead beds of weeds, so i thought id have a go at it, well since last year ive done a ridiculously amount of brutally hard work and probably threw away close to a thousand dollars!!! The one big mistake i made was not knowing what the hell i was doing!!! So as i tried to get rid of weeds i used a bag of weed-stop not knowing anything about post or pre-emergents, then i killed myself trying to replant the lawns 3 times, yep 3 TIMES!!!! NOT KNOWING THAT THE BAG OF TWENTY DOLLAR CRAP I LAID DOWN COST ME THE WHOLE SEASON AND NOT ONE SINGLE GRASS SEED I LAID DOWN GREW!!!! NOT ONE!!! So now im looking at mostly bare dirt and nothing i plant will grow until the Weed-Stop is outta the soil which wont happen untilnthe spring. I learned about tenacity, i sprayed it, everything turned white and now ill just wait for the spring and try replanting everything 😢

I agree with your thinking. I'm hoping to shoot a buck or two this year myself

I had the same request, I just cancel my lawn maintenance company. I use Jason for advise but would love a maintenance calendar from him
That was for Bermuda
The last one is for centipede grass
Today is Oct 9 canI put lwan food 16 4 8 liquid?
Jason, what are you using to get rid of those wild violets that pop up in turf. I tried Q4 and diquat. Just wondering if you use something different?
I just put down Speciticle on my centipede grass. I was going to put prodiamine down in late winter. Is that not a good option?
Thought you said you were using Specticle on C & SA?? 1:57
I may have spoken incorrectly. On the past I used 4 oz per acre on centipede and St Augustine but this year I am using prodiamine on those
Why the change up?

Yes, you need a license. You can check with your state Department of Agriculture
@@lawncarelife thank you
I have a mix of zoysia and fescue in my lawn. What should I use on my dallis grass?
Can I use tribute total on it?
Yes on zoysia. No on fescue

When is the best time to apply lime for centipede grass ❓
Centipede rarely needs lime. Ph needs to be between 5 to 6. Do a soil test first.

Where you get that bird house ?
Amish country
