I would watch his UA-cam channel if Brian started one... I watch all of Andrew's videos which is very informative and entertaining so I know I would watch Brian's as well.
Great video Andrew. I could picture it in it's heyday, building the best coaches on the road. I wish I could have seen it back then. Brian is a walking history book, thank you for sharing your knowledge. If he gets a channel, I'm hitting the subscribe button.
Brian would be great! He has so much knowledge about manufacturing the class A’s also in sales, what to look for, so much information he could offer us new buyers or full-time RVers
That was special.... I’m working for a company who sold a facility full of history and in less than 10 years... the place will be empty and new owners will be tearing down to the ground... I walk the halls shaking my head.... great to hear the history of this place and it’s not forgotten... thanks for sharing...
Sitting here in my 06 Inspire seeing the building it comes from brought joy to my heart and then I hear Winnebago threw away molds for the cap's for coaches 2000 and older. Good grief Winnebago. Brian go for the UA-cam channel
It was a sad day when Winnebago bought Country Coach. I wonder what's for sale now, everything they bought, just the buildings, or the intellectual property. Who knows what could happen, would it be a company that would be competition with Newell? If the only way they could come back was to cut corners like manufacturers do today, I personally would rather see CC just fade away with their quality intact and on top. Truth in advertising, I'm a CC owner and admit to being prejudiced.
so let me try some math - and a BIG YES to Brian on the YT channel! - 14 coaches/week times 52/weeks is 728 coaches per year - and if you averaged out the price those coaches sold for, some will be more than others, some less, but let's say they averaged $300k - that means yearly sales of $300k X 728 coaches = $218,400,000/year - there's money to be made in this industry, especially if you have a great reputation, that's what these numbers tell me.
I think Brian would be surprised how many people would be interested in this type of RV history. Speaking for myself only, this type of insight come along very infrequently. Having Country Coach history documented in video would be an awesome resource for people. Including me and I just respect the CC name!
Brian please start a UA-cam channel. Your knowledge on these coaches is unbelievable and I’m sure there’s other things that would be interested in can’t beat motorhome and motocross I’m listening to every time you’re talking. thank you for another awesome video
OK there should be three shims behind the fly wheel seal and there’s also a metal shim that goes over the dowel pins and fits in where the fly wheel would normally have an O-ring on a late model I deal in Play should be between 4 to 7 Thousands
Brian: Do it. I lost my CC to a Norcold fire. I would like to get another CC, but can no longer easily afford expensive repairs that might not be necessary. So, I would be most interested in knowing how to troubleshoot, do simple repairs, make equipment work in a CC. I would want to see the manufacturing and equipment differences in the various years and models. Not that I would be the one doing all the repairs or fixing things in a coach, but I would want to know how everything works and what to look for that's wrong. When someone says a problem will take $15K to fix, I would want to know that is exactly what is necessary and not just throwing more money away. Do it.
Brian !! You are Great. PLEASE get your own channel started. I totally enjoyed all the info you shared. Bet you have a ton more inside that great brain. Andrew ty for sharing all of yours. I am a total fan
Yes Brian needs to start a channel! For content I would like to have a walk thru of how things work in the country coach and the special goodies that make Country Coach so great. I want to purchase one next year.
Brian has been riding motocross for many years. He has so many stories and injuries to his body.from races. He should include stories if he starts a new channel. As stated in a previous video comment he serviced my Country Coaches for many years. He quick, knowledge and could diagnose any problem with a solution. Start a channel Brian.
+1 for seeing Brian put up a channel... Every Country Couch enthusiast would value his insight and opinions. Would love to talk to Brian over a beer about the opinions CC employees had during the design, manufacturing and evolution of the Lexa...
Great History on this video, Yes Brian needs to start a UA-cam so everyone can gain that knowledge. The 192K SQft 33 acres are about $10.5 million, so get those investors on it and make some coaches. Andrew another great video, thanks
Starting to like the older Country Coaches.... specifically the older Magna and Intrigue models. Will be interesting to see what Winnebago does with Newmar now. Think that will be their new avenue for high line coaches. Probably will never happen but would like to see Country Coach come back
Would love Brian to take on a channel....it is so rear that all of you guys hit it off and shared so much of Country Coach and where Winnebago came in and out..please do any more you can ..it is so cool Country Coach people could do what they have done. Please later do same with Beaver and Monaco if possible...Oregon strong..in spite of downturn.
What an incredible amount of knowledge. These are the type of people you want in your business, he would be my number one hire and give him whatever he wants.
Thank you, Andrew, for the tour. We've owned two Monaco Dynasties fro that plan, the last Dynasty we owned was the last production year from that facility. Lar week we bought a 2020 Horizon; one of the last from that plant. Again, thank you for the video it helps to know a bit of the story from three of our coaches.
I live half mile from there. Boyfriend worked there @ Country Coach. Sad to see it go. Bob Lee was a patron of my daughter who was aviation mechanic. Mom's Care Coordinator's husband is Premier. My family has been close to RV manufacturing industry for a long time. Best friends just bought a 2020 39' Jayco on Frieghtliner from Coburg. We are all ex truck drivers. Big bunk overcab for me to sleep when I get a chance to go. 1.5 baths, cali king bed, 3 TV, 1 being outside. It's now their full time home.
I’m a retired highway/city driver. Please, always roll, even if only a couple inches, when turning your steering tires. There is a lot of weight sitting on them and you can do some expensive damage to them when you “dry” steer.
I think all CC boys and girls who have worked at CC heart in their hearts when they see how winnebago handles all that CC history. Super fun video, Andrew !! Due to the time difference, we always see your videos while eating. Andrew a question we live in Sweden and would like to buy RV again. I've ridden a tiffin and a Monco dynasty and now I want a CC or dynasty. Do you want to ask if Primier RV can also help with transport to the port and export papers. Andrew do you think I can safely buy from them without coming to the US? now in this C19 time you cannot travel to the USA. AND BRAIN PLEASE MAKE VIDEOS!
As Winnebago has all the buildings and intellectual rights, I purpose we all pool our funds and purchase all from Winnebago for .10 on the dollar, and restart County Coach which is still the best chassis and coach in the business.
Interesting, different tour great video! Check out street view still shows the Winnebago on that big black sign in front of the corporate building and satellite view show about 100 chassis outside. Will definitely subscribe to Brian's channel go for it!
I've been following unsubscribe for a while but when a man in flip flops walks through all that and on railways is a man who is dedicated to his fans and channel! I liked and subscribed! Adam sir, love your channel awesome job always! Thank you. And yes if Brian got a channel I'd subscribe! If this is old and he has awesome🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖖
Thank you soo much for the history ' it brings back memories of when i worked there' one of the most amazing points in my life sad that Country Coach is not in production .
Man, this video breaks my heart, Country Coach was on my radar when I was looking to buy but went with Tiffin due to it's manufacturing facility being within reasonable distance to me. I was hoping with Winnebago buying their facilities that they would revive the Country Coach and have instant success if they kept the quality they were known for. It is sad to see that they are abandoning that project, hopefully another manufacture will see the potential they have and buy it. You can tell by watching your videos, those that worked for Country Coach are proud and passionate about them.
Enjoyed the video and history but couldn't help but feel sad that this same scenario has played out so often in USA. Big company buys out smaller but viable business only to shut it down and liquidate within a few years. Being a Newmar owner I hope to does not share the same fate
Hope you've had better luck with your Newmar than many others have. Just hear of many unhappy customers but I guess that can happen to anyone. It stinks as CC make some beautiful coaches
As I recall, Winnebago announced they were moving their diesel production to that Oregon facility. A friend of mine purchased a ‘16 Grand Tour and brought to that facility twice for warranty work. According to him, he was told they were unable to find enough qualified workers to staff the production facility and that’s why they left.
Sheila Raskin I guess you didn’t read my entire post? They tried to build coaches in that facility in Oregon and it didn’t work out so they moved that operation back to Forest City in 2019.
I really don’t believe that. You could easily train enough staff for the production facility if needed. I’ve been down that road before in a manufacturing facility and you always have tons of applicants wanting a good job for decent pay that can be trained to do anything, there’s more to the story than we are being told and probly will never know unfortunately
@@1982MCI I agree there's more to it than that. Winnebago said they had not, "achieved our targeted operation efficiency and profitability goals." My friend was told they couldn't find large enough pool of people that weren't on drugs. whatever the reason, they closed the facility and moved back to Forest City.
They were staffed plenty! Unfortunately, Winnebago didn't train their JC administrative & management staff on how Winnebago operates. As a result, the people who were there to start the JC campus were working how they knew to work .... like all of the other coach manufacturers who have come & gone from this area! So, no, they didn't achieve their goals in JC! It was primarily because of the company, not to be put on the shoulders of the locals!

This was my first introduction to CC by Andrew Steele and Brian three months ago. I had to go back and rewatch all the videos that introduced me to the CC factory and CC legacy employees like Brian.
Gotta get me a Country Coach! I would love to hear more about the older coach fiberglass checking problems - sounds like it’s pretty prevalent in CC, Monaco and Beaver.
Just to be clear.... It was WINNEBAGO who "didn't put in the effort", NOT the employees working there!! Winnebago reopened that facility knowing damn well they didn't have any intentions of keeping it going more than a couple years! Winnebago straight up SCREWED everyone they were LUCKY enough to have working for them, there!
Absolutely!! It was nothing more than a tax write off for Winnebago. I thot it highly strange that one of the 1st, higher up, ppl to leave the JC campus after the announcement of the shut down, was the very same man that moved his family out from Iowa to run the campus a year or so, earlier!!! I heard he is a 'closer' for the company. His belief in the team sure faded fast! They knew exactly what they were going to do when they bought CC! Too bad so many ppl believed the farce!
Hey man, still waiting for a video on Brian's coach. Looks like he really picked up a nice coach for a good deal. And, for the record, I'd subscribe to Brian's channel.
"Mature" motocross guys are cool. Brian needs a UA-cam channel. Rocking the 2012 Hangtown National T Shirt ! And a Dirt Monkey hat. I want to see how he hauls bikes and where he goes to ride.
It’s great to see where the iconic coaches we’re built, I would definitely watch Brian’s channel over here in the UK.
I would watch his UA-cam channel if Brian started one... I watch all of Andrew's videos which is very informative and entertaining so I know I would watch Brian's as well.

Being born into a dying marine industry, don't let your history disappear. In other words Brian do the channel, I'll watch for sure.
@@joeblow3939 true, it happens.
Do the channel your knowledge is interesting and valuable to every Country Coach owner and want to be owner. Is your coach for sale?

Especially now, RVs are not staying on the lot because of the pandemic.
It’s offered at 10.5 Million. Or about $100k per year for taxes and interest at 3%
The history is very fascinating. They were a great Coach manufacturer.
Another great video and tour!!Yes, Brian needs his own channel!!
Definitely thank that Brian should do a show. Keep hosting Mr. Steel great to see how the motor coach world is going.
I think Brian would be surprised how many people would be interested in this type of RV history. Speaking for myself only, this type of insight come along very infrequently. Hell yeah I'd watch Brian's channel! I'll be seeing the Premier boys in January to buy a CC
I’m a retired highway/city driver. Please, always roll, even if only a couple inches, when turning your steering tires. There is a lot of weight sitting on them and you can do some expensive damage to them when you “dry” steer.
Always appreciate you Andrew. Hopefully, something will happen to bring back CC!
Brian, do a You Tube channel 👍
Looking forward to a video about Brian's coach, would be a good launch of his channel!
Nice move, with Premier and you're wearing Bordur! I gave you the like for the flip flops!! Love your stuff.

Interesting, different tour great video! Check out street view still shows the Winnebago on that big black sign in front of the corporate building and satellite view show about 100 chassis outside. Will definitely subscribe to Brian's channel go for it!
Brian wood be great to help fix our country coach problem thank for the walk around

I'd love to learn all I can about Country Coach. Brian.... do it!!!
We would totally subscribe if he had a channel! Also, Andrew, my husband and I love the job you are doing!

Great job of video! So much history, I wish “Country Coach” was still going, ahead of their time. How could Winnibego throw history away.
Excellent recording...hate to see manufacturing closed down, once world leading manufacturer Detroit has a sad story....
Thank you soo much for the history ' it brings back memories of when i worked there' one of the most amazing points in my life sad that Country Coach is not in production .

Yeah, Brian needs to do a UA-cam channel. Experience is priceless.
the company I worked for was part of the auction, It was epic, every building on the property has stuff in it

Brian's channel would definitely be welcomed!!!

Having some toes missing ,we appreciate the sacrifice. Lol Great video
Get the channel moving Brian!
I would love to invest with you Andrew on the purchase of the old Winnebago facility but at the present time I’m so broke I can’t even pay attention 😂
Yes! Brian start a UA-cam channel! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
This was my first introduction to CC by Andrew Steele and Brian three months ago. I had to go back and rewatch all the videos that introduced me to the CC factory and CC legacy employees like Brian.
Awesome, glad I could help introduce you to some great RV history
I would definitely watch his channel he's very knowledgeable about R.V's
Great video
Interesting history
