I took private lessons with him! I promise, you won’t be disappointed. The amount of improvement I saw in only 4 lessons was insane. He knows his stuff. Video is very helpful!
Listen to uncle Tyler, kids! - "you just wanna sound normal" - the best advice you're going to get. Amazing voice, blows me away when you sing man. "tendency to depress the tongue" -> man, you're one of the few that resists this, love it - the tongue is a wave! 2:02 - "it's a means to an end" - also, an amazing definition. When I hear you sing, the velarpharyngeal port is CLOSED on vowels, I love that you explain that in depth beyond the sound you're giving people to simply find it. Great, love, best to you. I really do watch your videos when they come up, which I can say for few. x - K
Another Gold by Tyler sir the best vocal coach there is. You have helped me immensely sir. My health, vocals, musical knowledge have increased exponentially. How is this kind of gold content even free. That vevo pharyngeal exercise is one of my favorite it helps us get into flow phonation and turn the voice to sing higher. Thank you once again sir I am about to perform tomorrow . Thanks ❤
Hello Tyler, thank you for always helping us! Watching this video made me understand mixed voice better and this video is by far the most informative and helpful video about mixed I've seen so far. Ive only started getting into learning how to sing in mixed voice just last week so I dont really know how it fully works. But from watching other youtube videos, according to them, mixed is like the bridge between chest voice and head voice and apparently a way to know youre doing it properly is that there should not be a break when you try to go from chest to head voice/falsetto. So im just curious if the mixed voice that you showed us in the video is another type of mixed voice or is it part of the "bridge"/transition between chest and head voice. Im just a little confused and i only need a clarification. Thank you!
@@jucasoxmusic Hey there, thanks for watching my videos! I decided to take this entire year off from making videos mainly because my teaching schedule has been so busy. I’m about to start my re evaluating if I will return to YouRube or not in the new year.
These work!! Been wanting to get more confident in my mix for EVERRRRR. Your videos are so so good. Wish my degree taught me this. Lol. Do you have a mix voice warm up video? Like all your nuggets for mix in one warm up video?! That would be PERFECT
Hi Tyler, adding this one to my regimen. I’m going to start my own vocal channel too. I’m not a pro-pedagogue yet, but I do have a contribution to make I think. Gonna focus on developing an AI that can give visual feedback through audio and visual input. Imagine being able to sing into your mobile and have it show you an intuitive picture of larynx position, resonant frequencies, imagine being able to plug in the profile of a clip by an artist and see how what you are singing differs from that with suggestions to bring your tone nearer to it?
Heya, I notice that when I attempt these exercises I can only do them super quietly or thin if I don't want to crack, the moment I try to inject more power my voice no longer follows that mixed voice pathway and breaks, that or it does but it only begins to "bridge" after my break at around g#4, which causes me to strain and lose dynamic control. Have you ever experienced something like this and if so how did you overcome it?
For me, time was the fix. You start of like this, but with more pharyngeal singing exercises, the more connection you will get. Took me between 2 to 4 weeks, exercising 30 Minutes daily with a 10 minute warmup before something started to change. Suddenly I got a little bit more chest quality and connection. As the weeks went on, It got stronger and stronger. For some if it works overnight, great, for others like me, time was the healer. In my life, I have always sung very Head Dominant, and kept a choir type tone to my voice, so it took longer for me to get this as my voice leaned that way.
You are one of the best vocal teacher i know, go a head with your work. Thank you. I follow you from cameroon. I'm a francophone you willl forgive my english
@@tylerwysong with proper flownation, my head rattles like a harmonica. For the first time in 6 yrs of singing in a band I get through the whole set list without my larynx gluing to my jaw. I Recommend: 10-15 min daily vocal exercises, and a Tyler Wysong tutorial…= Rock Star performance. I owe you in so many ways… bare with me
This exercise helps quite alot with staying in the right place for sure, but I break like crazy when I hit a certain note, roughly around an F4 to which I break into falsetto You have any tips to break past this?
You can actually here what the pressed Mum Mum Mum did to your voice. You definitely lost a bit of quality after that, just shows how bad this could be.

You should look into the transient theory!
I will. I’ll try to draw you into the discussion as I make progress.

Also wondering if your comments about pressed phonation are related to vocal injury you’ve sustained in the past, if you care to comment.
No I have never had a vocal injury thankfully..
This exercise helps quite alot with staying in the right place for sure, but I break like crazy when I hit a certain note, roughly around an F4 to which I break into falsetto

I can't help but lapse into falsetto :(
Never saw the point of the mum exercise, always felt the strain.
Please,talk about subtones ❤️❤️
