We made this meatloaf last night and when I say "we" I mean my husband did all the work and let me tell you when you're sick in bed...there is truly nothing better than this meatloaf sandwich! The spice was also good for clearing out the sinuses. I dont care if meatloaf is a guy, girl or someone in between. It made a nasty cold a little easier to deal with. Thanks Sam and Max 😷😊
I had been making this for about 10 years and after baking the meatloaf in the oven, I personally enjoyed always frying the leftover meatloaf with bacon grease and topping with thinly sliced dill pickles and onions that I sauteed, and served it on toasted bread. Everyone raved about it but I think smoking it takes it to another level. What I enjoy most about your videos is the creativity. Keep up the good work!

When smoking meatloaf use the top section of a broiler pan to hold your loaf. It will allow smoke to permeate the meat through the drip holes while keeping it together.

My house heater went out so last night I made a meatloaf for lunches with Sharp Cheddar, Cajun Mix Spices, Garlic Powder & Tapatio Sauce. I'm eating a sandwich as I watch this with Pewpie Mayo on the bottom, XH Horse Radish on top of the meatloaf and kosher dill slices for my greens! LoL It's tremendously delicious.
I made this meatloaf yesterday, wasn’t able to smoke it but I will next time. It was soooooo good!!! The one thing I changed instead of the ketchup and jam I used a purée of roasted red pepper and caramelized onion. So good.

My friend make a Meatloaf like no other.. lol I call it Mike's Meat. No onions soup mix basically no onions. He got the idea from a bread company that had recipes on thier packages. I think it was Roman meal. I contacted Roman Meal and a super nice lady had copies of all the older recipes but after checking em all I could not find it. He does it all by eye. So I asked if I could weight all parts of making it. I haven't tried but F*** it's not like any other recipe I've tried but if he's making it I'm Sooooo there for a slice or two. Its amazing! I'd share the recipe but sorry keeping it to myself.
Just look at Meatloaf as a hamburger sliced. Try every kind. If ya dont like it move on. When my friend makes his recipe.. people will come for a slice. It's that good and I'm not a fan of most Meatloafs.
Not sure if already recommended...but place on non stick foil sheet for 1st 30 min or until meat loaf starts to set. Then remove and continue to smoke. I use one mini aluminum loaf pan to form multiple loafs...since I make large batches it also allows me to freeze mini loafs for future meals if I have any left after handing out to family and friends. Also try smoking your favorite hot dogs and smear with cream cheese. I know it sounds odd but it is really good.

This is our favorite meatloaf recipe we have ever made. We don't use a smoker but put it in the oven. We also make the tacos the next day and put the meatloaf sauce on them. Another great use of the intentional leftovers. I have a real smoker and will try this once the weather is nice.
Made this tonight the meatloaf is amazing!! I always make cocktail meatballs in a grape jelly /ketchup bbq sauce for the tailgate. I like using my hands because the food penetrates my pores and draws out all the oils, dirt, and dead skin so that when I get done and rinse, my hands are really, really clean.
The starch to go with the hot meatloaf is ... grits - or polenta. I think it’s going to sink into the grate no matter if you grease the grates. I say put it on a small, flat pan. Or how about a sheet of parchment right on the grates. That might work with the low temperature you’re using. This looks great! Now if we could just get you over making tacos with flour tortillas ...
I find the audio to be unbalanced at times. Sometimes it is difficult to hear Sam but then the video cuts to a new clip and the audio is so loud it’s like Sam is yelling. Just letting you know. Thanks for all you both do!
I made this tonight on my Egg. Served with a tomato and avocado salad to keep the carbs down and make it more of a spring season meal - and, of course, in honor of Cinco de Mayo. Absolutely THE BEST meatloaf I’ve EVER had. I mean friggin’ fantastic.
i like smoking that stuff but i put in the freezer for awhile then put on a temp grate and place on smoker so i can rotate it if i need to. love your channel and everyone liked this meatloaf and the seasoning is so simple and good
Just made this and it is Fantastically delicious will make again for sure. Didn't have a smoker so the 1lb pork 1lb beef Loaf cooked in oven at 325 for 1hr 20mins. got it to 155 degrees in center of loaf. Let stand for 10 mins.

When you pulled the meatloaf off and half of it was stuck under the grate, I almost had an asthma attack from laughing too hard.

Put on a baking rack inside a cookie sheet makes it easier to transfer. Smoke will still hit all sides. And grill doesn’t get so messy

i like smoking that stuff
but i put in the freezer for awhile then put on a temp grate and place on smoker so i can rotate it if i need to.

Just made this and it is Fantastically delicious will make again for sure. Didn't have a smoker so the 1lb pork 1lb beef Loaf cooked in oven at 325 for 1hr 20mins. got it to 155 degrees in center of loaf. Let stand for 10 mins.
