Inclusiveness/diversity and character/story development are two totally separate things. One has absolutely nothing to do with the other. So if a movie is bad, it has nothing to do with the fact that it’s diverse. It’s bad because it’s bad. It’s bad because the story writing is bad or the character development is bad. Not because there are some brown people in it.

Obviously as brown people ourself we’re more than happy to see people that look like us in film and Tv, but we would rather good stories and characters before any of that, it’s evident with what Disney have been producing that their priority has been representation over story telling. We see a similar thing in the gaming industry with the “Sweet Baby Inc” controversy that came up, which is literally a company in the gaming world that make sure games check all the diversity boxes. When representation is put on a higher pedestal than writing, characters, story, actors abilities, then whatever it is will not be received as well as may of been intended (not saying this is show will be like that, we’ll have to wait until the show comes out before we can tell)
